cost 599€ in the local dealer here !!!

Not very much people has a Playstation 3 around my area. On BBC news it said more than 200,000 Ps3's in the Uk on launch day and 165,000 was sold beating 71,000 Xbox 360's and 105,000 Nintendo Wii's.

Yes that is true and just goes to show how the people who are calling the PS3 a flop are so very wrong and have confused por demand with good supply. Of course Sony would also have been criticised by the same people had they supplied too few units :lol:

Surely I'm not the only PS3 owner on se-nse :confused: there must be more ;)

I may get one later if I get bored. I'm liking Battlefield 2142 Northern Strike a lot at the moment on the PC.

Commanding squads, tactics, flying and driving and blowing the absolute crap out of people throughout the world is pretty good fun on the PC :lol:

Still, the PS3 is a bit more than just a games console so thats more reason to get one.

yellowdog installed fine and easy. took about an hour

yup, i had to format my ps3s hd (i did it right away). i did a backup first (before i put on music) to save any game files i had.

pretty cool to run however i decided to remove it and reformatted my ps3s hd and removed my linux partition. i see no need to run linux on it at this moment (i have a htpc already w/vista on it).

also got my psp connected via remote play too.. pretty cool stuff i say..

Bought a ps3 last week...and ninja gaiden sigma.

But the cd got a minor hairline crack(on the inside..1 cm) while i was putting it back in its original cd case...so now the ps3 doesn't recognize the cd when i put it inside it. :o

i also saw that some of my cds and dvds(cheap quality) are not recognised when i put it in my ps3...anything serious to worry bout?? :confused:

Hmm.. Dr_Thug maybe you can have the cd refinished at a game shop.

Are the cheap cds/dvds bootleg? Some don't play well in my ps3 but when I burn movies they work well. Very odd.
