In reference to the recent UFO crashing into a wind turbine up't north, suspected "an ultrasecret robot stealth aircraft project hinted at by MoD";
"El Reg rang the MoD for clarification as to what material it has which could be classified as more secret than top secret, but a spokesman said: "That's so secret it's beyond above top secret, I'm afraid." ®"

According to the logs it appears he was trying to use a brute force password cracker to break into the server (thankfully we noticed in time). When the server became pretty much unresponsive last night Ix checked the logs and saw an executable called "Brute" was running, booted him off, rebooted the server, and followed our procedures for such occasions and the server was back to normal.
So we now need to know, is anyone else getting any IPS errors this morning?
**All praises need to go to Ix for yet another amazing piece of work, all hail Ix "WOAH!!!"

I noticed it was down yesterday. Sorry to hear of the attack, some people should go out and get a life.
Anyway, back up and running faster than the last time, which only commands heaps of praise IMO. It seems the safety procedures are working. Well done lads!

well regardless of that, it looks like Mr Knobjockey is trying again.
It makes me feel so depressed when hackers are so sad that they resort to hacking a friendly community site, there is no honour in attacking something that doesn't attack anyone one else.....
who ever it is, you can laugh now but I assure you we will hunt you down. We are in the process of collating all our off site stored data/logs and will be giving them to the Police to bring forward a prosecution, finally something the EU got right.....
