I liked the design of the M600; it's practical and to the point, and Elena carries on that aesthetic. It's good to see SE sticking with what works for their business products. I'm seriously considering buying Elena, especially if it has HSDPA support.

How old is the prototype that you have? It seems quite old in comparison to the other descriptions of the phone by other sources, and it's not Cyber-shot branded.

No stickers on the phone but error screen says
aug17 2006 and it also says elena.

Bad picture i know, but only got one shot, low cam battery and low phone battery.

The 5 MP camera part is just about a certainty, but the GPS part ... I would like to see it too, but I'm not going to get my hopes up that SE will include it ...

zopp, can you tell us how much thicker it is then the M600i. What kind of thickness do you estimate if you know that the M600i is 15mm and the K750/W800 is 20,5mm.

The thickness is pretty much the same, the elena proto (the pic with the phone started shows it says elena) is maybe a little bit thicker, max 1 mm and the edges isn't round like m600 they are like 45 degres.
The cam is 3.2MP on this one and phone is not cybershot branded.

I say it looks pretty much like pic 3,4,5 on first side of topic

Dont know how much they will change till it comes out, but i can say that even the earliest p990i proto i got look like a p990i, if you dont look carefully you wouln't know its a proto. I also got a w950 proto and it's walkmanbranded.

We can say for certainty that this handset has a 3.2 MP camera, UMTS and supports M2 cards. Do we have any ideas on what other connectivity options it will support? HSDPA? Wi-Fi?

Thanks for showing the sides zopp!!! It does look alot like the thickness of the M600i, which is a great achievement if it'll have WIFI and a 3.2MP camera.

Btw... I can't imagine that this is the final design, because the camera part is just too unfinished looking. I really think that this might be the new casing for this prototype, because everything is in the right place (just compare the front camera, the back camera, the buttons and the speaker):

**The new Z750i (its up on the SE site) has call/end buttons... That implies that the presence of call/end buttons on the phone in the opening post of this thread isn't an indicator of it being fake or it being UIQ3.... just that it has a new UI... (Wonder what this new UI will be like?).**

Yes i hope it looks more like the pics on first side, as said earlier the plastic feels crappy lowbudget. The cam part truly looks unfinished and feels that way too. I also got a white/grey casing for the phone and it aint a beauty i can tell you.

Wifi support is early to say anything about i think, hell my p990i (wierd piece of hardware) proto doesen't even have working BT (dont know if it's just lack of software (i do know it ain't got BT sw) or missing hardware.
OFFT: Would really need SEtool to get this thing (p990i) working again i think, tried today with cruiser but man what a crappy software and even worse information what is supported, frustrates the hell out off me.
