Techmode On Your W800 What to know hot to add?

I guess you know that techmode is activated by pressing *585*0000# and Send and to deactivate it #585#0000#. Only problem is that k750 users can enter techmode because they have the activity menu and they can press resume. W800 must add this lines in menu.ml:

<element id="TechMode">
<label type="name">
<text>TechMode</text>
</label>
<link type="internal"/>
</element>

You can put it wherever you want in the menu. I advise to put it after Settings_Battery_Id. This techmode link will only be visible when you activate techmode by pressing *585*0000#. I hope this was helpful to someone...

i am able to enable disable tech mode in w700i without adding those lines
but would like to know what is tech mode exactly ?

techmode shows you information about network channels ,reception, etc. Those lines are not to enable techmode. Those lines are for you to be able to see the informations that techmode offers to you.

Thanks for the info, it would be nice to have an application which showed the data in a more 'viewer friendly' form though ;)

well ive put in those lines in menu.ml and have started techmode but what should i do to find that information?? :blush:

it shows "unsucessful" to me on k750 with w800 firmware

U wil Find It In Menu/Settings/Connectivity/Mobile Networks/Techmode
But I can't Understand 4 what it's used to?? :o How Can I read this Informations :blink: <-< Like B 686 24 -88 62302
