can i change the sms ringtone to play a whole song????if there is...can someone tell me what to adjust / or where the path for it??

remove locked java files:

change bootup/shutdown sounds/picture:
/fs/tpa/preset/system/settings
SPLASH - bootup picture: copy to your PC, edit PNG with paint/photoshop. And then, copy back
STARTUP_SOUND_SEMC.mp3 - duhh

remove locked music/pictures:
/tpa/user/audio
/tpa/user/audio/Ringtones
/tpa/user/image

I put the flash themes (the first one) from the files upload thread into:

tpa\preset\system\desktop\flash\

I do not see them on the phone...

I gather I need to add the .thm files somewhere to use the .swf's, but I an not clear where to put the .thm files

I am using : W810_R4EA031_MAIN_CINGULAR_RED49.mbn when I reflash the main as W810_R4EA031_MAIN_GENERIC_HN_RED49.mbn does not work correctly (see post above).

I am looking to use some mp3's as ringtones and can't, is is because of the firmware I am choosing?

.thm files are the normal theme files, copy them normally (through bluetuooth, ir, memorystick (in the 'other ' map)

hmm. you cannot use mp3 as ringtone?? strange
in FAR, go to tpa/preset/custom and open customize.xml with F4 and edit the setting

enable-ringtoneplayer-mp3>true</enable-ringtoneplayer-mp3

and then do a master settings reset.
also, if your phone is a CINGULAR one, use the correct MAIN fw (CINGULAR in that case).

if above doesn't work, you could try unbranding. Think this over though, first find the proper files and backup stuff. after unbranding you might loose some CINGULAR-features (don't know exactly which, cuz im not from the us)

not sure this is for me- I think I will be happy if I can just add some themes, use mp3's as ringtones and maybe change some of the things like customizing the startup and shutdown splashes and other things in the xml file.

okay, got another question, I have put all the swf's from the tpa.rar (on the files upload thread) on the phone and all the themes from the thema's.rar in the othe folder on the memory stick, but there are a bunch of swf's in the tpa.rar that are not represented in the thema's.rar archive.... where do I find the themes to use all the other swf's?

okay i will flash my phone soon, just to make sure, will this be the right procedure?

1. Install USB flash drivers
2. Install all apps XS, and FAR
3. Extract the SEFP plugins
4. Extracted CID49 pack to the plugin folder as well.
5. Open XS
6. Remove SIM card and memory stick.
7. In XS++, connected my phone. Flashed my MAIN with the break loader
8. Take out bat for 5 secs, and put back in
9. Flashed my FS with W810_R4ED001_FS_AMERICA_2_RED49.fbn
10. Take out bat for 5 secs, and put back in
11. Open up Far Manager F11.
12. Select SEFP plugin, enter the matrix?
13. Install custom pack Helen_CDA102494_76_AMERICA_2.zip i found in a thread, then delete unwatned files and add new drivers?
14. exit CSFS loader.
15. Take out bat for 5 secs, and put back in
finally, Flash with W810_R4EA031_MAIN_GENERIC_HN_RED49.mbn with XS?

correct?

yes, in step 13, go to tpa/preset/custom and put the contents from the custompack in here using FAR's copy function (F5 i believe). you can delete the .itm files if you don't want the SONY/wap/fungames links in the file browser.

u can edit some xml file in the .thm file with some theme editor to point it to the right SWF menu, or search search search

i havent got my w810i yet but i was gonna debrand and make flash themes work using this method allthough i read the above post and decided to browse the customize.xml file in the rar thing i downloaded ready for when i get my w810i, although i opened it in notepad and searched for "<enable-flash-desktop>" and "<enable-flash-desktop>true</enable-flash-desktop>" yet no search results were found :S y is that, does it need to be on the phone to find the flash bit or somethign?

hey guys i have a problem....
I followed every step exactly, flash with break loader, it hung at 100% so i canceled, removed bat, went into far and got into the screen where i could see FLASH and FS okay. Then the problem, when i click FS.



Ive tried the procedure again and again and it never works, i can't get into the FS. My phone is okay tho. Ive installed all correct USB drivers, plugins bootscripts and everything. I can't get past this, i even tried 2 diff computers... Maybe it has something to do with the break loader not flashing properly?

anyone know why? heres the end part of my FAR log

But the problem is during the final step, when using xs++ to load in the main firmware "W810_R4ED001_FS_CINGULAR_RED49", i can't find this file.

you must download the Main Firmware from anywhere... --> W810_R4ED001_FS_CINGULAR_RED49
