I have a V630 (branded by Vodafone ) and I want to flash it. I know that the V630 is the Vodafone version for K618. So I searched on topsony.com main/fs & cust pack for K618. Files for main are only for China and Taiwan, and there is no custom pack for K618. So I would like to put the main, fs & custom pack from K610. Is it possible?
Also, the flash menus are available for K610?

Which country are you from?

The K610 does not have flash menus unfortunately, otherwise it is identical to the K618/V630.

If you don't need any other languages than English, go with the K618, you can use Kulan Kendi to flash it for free using the test account (username: test password: test)... just DON'T flash the R1GB001 firmware they have availible there, if you do you'll end up with a CID51 phone that you wont be able to customize after flashing... in other words a 95% dead phone (providing that 5% of everything you do on the phone is receiving calls).

Otherwise K610 is a very good option, the only thing you lose is the Flash support.

Tell me which language you need and I'll upload it here for you, if I have it.

I'm from Romania, but I use english on my phone. So if I will use the K618 firmware the flash menus will be active? cool ! Kulan Kendi it's free? Or it's like DaVinci, u can flash main/firmware for free on it but for the customizing u need to pay?

No I didn't say flash menus will be available, all I said was that Flash menus are possible, however I don't think there are any actually in the phone.

And yes Kulan Kendi is like DVT, you pay for finalization. A better way is to use XS++ though, that way you can finalize for free.

OK, I'll use XS++. The flash menus for w810 are compatible with k618? or the displays of the two phones are different?
Do you have main/fs & custpack for k618? europe or america doesn't matter cause I don't want to use main from china...

You can use the Taiwan FS with a generic main, and no sorry I do not have any K618 cust packs. Ask gbrooks3.

And if you're going with K618 firmware just use Kulan Kendi and pick the second latest firmware and you'll be fine, just make sure you have a matching cust pack first.

Just flashed a K610 to K618-firmware. I didn't get any flash-menus... How do you enable flash-menus on K618?

When you flash with XS++ you check "Customise File System"? Cose it's took too much, more then 3 hours and not finished yet. This on a C2D 2.4GHz procesor.
