It appears that SE-NSE has been hacked. Currently none of the admins are able to login, and someone/something by the name of ZimElite has taken control of the site. We are doing everything we can to regain contol. If anyone has information that they think would be helpful please contact one of the moderators.

We are working on answering both of those questions. The hacker changed one of the admin account names to ZimElite.

SE-NSE will be offline soon for maintenance.

I think an upgrade to IPB 2.2 could be the best solution. Our webmaster already did it.

We will definitely perform an upgrade to 2.2 sometime soon. After we've completed the upgrade we'll check on the new (security) features first before we'll take any other precautions.

In light of what happened yesterday there will be upto an hour of downtime this evening (Wed 10th - UK time) to perform some rather large updates. If all goes well, the upgrade to IPB 2.2 will follow soon after

UK-time related to the evening bit... i.e. it won't be in the evening if you're in the USA

I couldn't give an exact time when I wrote that, but it'll be from around 11pm GMT.

When se-nse (the forum) is offline, us admins can still browse it. But if I were a member, I would probably be refreshing my webbrowser all the time

Hi,
Upgrading to ver 2 is the best solution now.

I cannot access forums for about 10 hours today. Not sure because of upgrading process or google web acelerator problem. Sometime I get host not responding, sometime I get page load done but nothing appears.

FYI, I actively reading firmware section for the past 2 months. Yesterday I decide to register with your GREAT site . A lot of things I learn here .

Yes it was unavailable today due to some linux problems which are now resolved, we will be doing the final upgrades today/tomorrow and yes we will be giving warning, and yes there will be a placer page

Sorry mate I don't quite gather what you mean when you say "It's funny how one can recognize himself in something like this." you speak too much like a philosopher sometimes oh great eggy. The problem is that my mum seems to have a major problem with comprehending the fact that I am able to sit at the PC half the night and sleep for the rest so she complains whenever she sees me on the PC after 9:00 PM and my typing in my room disturbs everyone else in the house after about 10ish so I can't get away with being on it much after then

I wasn't really being philosophical, lol. Don't forget my native language isn't English though

You asked when our forums would go offline because you were hoping it wouldn't effect you. If I were a member, I would probably ask the same thing. It's annoying when a site is offline and you want to visit it

Oh ok, I do know that english isn't your native language, I have always assumed it was dutch although you may correct me it is just that alot of your posts sound rather philosophical in the kindof way that most people do when they arn't speaking in their native language like they always speak correctly rather then colloquially (i hope you know that word) like everyone whis native languae it is dose.
