Yes it's normal. The procedure can theoretically take forever.

ok thanks. I guess it makes sense since everything is random. I guess I'm just not lucky enough, since I have been trying for over 30h now with no success ! I changed computers and will leave it overnight yet again !

Hehe, I know ! Btw, I fixed my problem. I was using a service cable (TMS) and someone told me I should use the DCU-60 instead and voila ! Customization worked

thts high ignorance......it was stated clearly tht PXS IS A FREE TOOL FOR UPGRADE ND CUSTOMISATION USING DCU-60..........otherwise if u wanted to use the service cable then semc8.4 was out for a long time!!!!!!

Not really, if you recheck the thread, it says :

+Use this tool with a DCU-60 cable (standard usb cable that came with your phone) or a service cable of your choice

So it clearly says that I can use a service cable of my choice. That's why I used the TMS I have. Besides, PhoneXS lets you choose the com port, which suggests that it works with a service cable.
I really think that should be changed as to not induce other ppl in error.

hi guys, I just used xs++ to upload flash menu files to my fone, however after making the themescorresponding to the respective flash files in the theme.xml file my fone didnt detect any of the flash files as the menu!, i.e. It is not detecting the flash files on my fone, however orbit, equaliser and emerge still work. trying to upload the files again, in the mean time could anyone point me in the right direction? UPDATE: fixed that, had tpa\presetS instead of tpa\preset, now i cant get rid of the tpa\presets folder, lol

If you check the FAQ, that is normal behavior. It's supposed to do that continuously (every min or so), until it cracks it (could take many hours).

ppl said that it takes around 4-5 hrs,,,

but with my w710i,, it took me 7.30 hrs.... 2 brute force the phone...

i had 2 keep the phone on brute and go 2 sleep,,then in the morning i had 2 find that

everyhting was uploaded successfully,,but my battery was fully exhausted...

i was wondering:
if you flash main & fs with xs++.
then flash breakloader from den_po main
then use FAR to copy extracted custompack to proper place
then flash back main

wouldn't it also be fixed then??
