Hello. Is there any way to root xperia u with ICS@6.1.1.B.1.54 without downgrading the firmware first? Or is there any official firmware without any branding? I don't wanna get any vodafone etc branding. And if I flash a non branded firmware, do I lose anything on my phone? Settings, widgets etc?

Ok so I figured out that there is no known way to root this firmware aside flashing 6.1.1.b.1.10 and then root. Now : is there any "Generic" customised rom for 6.1.1.b.1.10 and 6.1.1.b.1.54?  If I unthick the "wipe ***"  boxes, will my data going to be still there after the flashing process?

You can close the topic. I flashed 6.1.1.b.1.10 kernel, rooted then flashed 6.1.1.b.1.54. All done.
