Is it possible to delete learned words?

yes. go to settings-> language and input, tap the small settings icon next to Xperia keyboard, tap text input settings -> my words. long pressing on any word will mark them for deletion. mark the words you don't want and tap delete.

Cant see that option in Xperia Mini Pro or in my Xperia Pro for that matter - though both handsets are running .42 gingerbread firmware
