hello m newbie. i am having se w600i and the phone has stopped working. when i switch on the phone it hangs at the sony ericsson symbol and doesnt proceed futher. i thught of flashing it. so searched in google and joined this forum. i downloaded the xs ++3.1 version but as m newbie., i dont much bout how to use., soo i read the tutorial in d forum., but dint get much. when i connect the usb and press c button aftr 30 secs it shows Error: Cannot open phone communication port. i tried removing battery in out but it dint help. mean while when usb is coonnected, the phone starts and show se symbol and frezes there. please help me out to get my phone back in working condition.

Install flash drivers. Wotanserver will be easier for you.

will wotan server work.? will my phone be detected.?? main problem is in detecting phone. the phone gets started as soon as usb is connected.

Driver can't be installed. Use Gordons Gate driver from download section.

thanks sir for helping me., trying gordan gate. actually i followed the instruction on wotan server page and download usb flasb drivers and followed instruction., and the driver got installed

i tried gordon gate but still the main problem is the phone starts as soon i re insert and battery and plug in usb. what to do now.? please help me out.

Ok. Don't forget to add the custom files when you flash with wotan. Many users miss this step so read carefully of all the options in the wotan client software.

Hmm. I'm not sure C key is the service button.

but how to add custom files.? i have the custom files., the main prob is i cant procedd further in phone detection as the phone doesnt get deteected.!! soo please first help me out. the phone gets strarted and hangs at sony symbol. soo cant eeven doo any thng.

I only saw the second part of your post after replying. This is a flash driver problem. What OS and service pack are you using?

i am using windows 7 64 bit ultimate. btwn sir even i guess c is not the service button.!! cuz earlier i flased a samsung monte of my frnd wic was already debbugged in higher mode., using vol down camera button nad center oone i put in download mode and flashed it
now wat should i do to keep my phone in service mode.
