At an event to launch the new Xperia P, Jonathan Lin, president of Sony Mobile Communications Taiwan commented that the company is aiming for a 30 percent Android market share in the Taiwanese market in Q2 2012. He also said that the company is planning to launch Xperia U and Xperia Sola in Taiwan during Q2 2012.

According to Lin, Sony has a higher brand image than Sony Ericsson and this would boost the sales for them. He also commented that Sony has plans to launch 1 to 2 new Xperia models in Taiwan each quarter.
