Sounds like the foam that surrounds the display has broken and is making your phone think that its seeing light.

Take off the front cover (you will need a T6 screwdriver) and place a piece of cardboard over the top of the light sensor (which is on the right and at the top as you look at the phone)

Does it fade out entirely? Meaning, do keypad lights got completely off, or they just fade to really really low level?
Go into dark room, put to 100% brightness and see what happen with keypad light.

This is 10% luck, 20% skill, 15% concentrated power of will, 5% pleasure, 50% pain.
And a 100% reason to remember the name!

Bud they fade and completely turn off
and turn on just when the display light turns on..
Like..
When I turn on my phone, a white screen appears the keypad lights turn on and whoosh.. they fade away..!
Same thing happens when we unlock keys :/ the display light brightens and the keypad lights turn on and then off :/

Not sure that will help, as you say it goes completely off, not just low, which will happen if screen light is "hitting" light sensor.
