Please anyonehere i need help. I got a secondhand w995 the phone is all good and working but the problem is that it is orange branded. And obviously i would like to unbrand it so that i could enjoy all of its features, and in order for me to do that i need to know all kinds of informations first, so here is what i want to know:

1. Unlocking- IMO i dont think that there is a need for doing this cause i can already use a different sim card. Is this right?
2. Unbranding - First what tools are needed in order for me to unbrand my phone? Do i need a brown Cert? or what CDA do i need? what MAIN firmware?what FS do i need?
language: ORANGE-SIGN (1227-3277 R12A)
FIRMWARE:R1HA035
CID: 53
EROM: 1200-4341
MODEL: W995

*I am from the Philippines , so if i use Wotan what CDA would i need???

3. Do i need a Brown Cert. to  patch my phone? how about to install flash themes? unbrand it? intall a different cam driver and acoustic?

4.Is there still no other way to change a cret, for free???

5. What is the best frimware version? and will i be able to downgrade my firmware if i use SEUS after debranding?

6. I found a file "W995_R1HA036_MAIN_GENERIC_HI_RED53"
-If i flash a Main FW R1HA036 must i flash a FS with the same version or can i just use any other version?
-What does the "HI" mean and what is it for?
-If i try to flash it with A2 uploader what customfile do i need? and what are the requirements???
-does th RED53 have a relation with my CID???

No need to unlock to debrand. To apply patch to cxc then you need brown cert, no free way to do this but you can use jjpatcher. You don't need brown to upload files. Use R1HA035 firmware and use wotanserver to flash the generic files. HI is short for HIKARU, the codename given to w995 by SE.

Wotan btw will sort out all the cda stuff automatically when you pick your region and languages. It's very simple to use.

So if i use wotan what CDA must i choose if im from the Philippines and the language i chose is English?? And if i want to flash a different cam or acoustic driver i use A2 without the need for a brown cert?
And will jjpatcher allow me to use a patch without a brown cert too???
And what is cxc btw?

Just open the wotan tool and you'll see. As I said; you don't need brown to upload files. You can use A2uploader or far and SEFP2. Jjpatcher will work on some but not all patches and the cxc files are the firmware in the FS of A2 phones.

but then there's no problem with applying elf files right?
And also what is the brown cert for if you can apply patches anyway with jjpatcher?

Elfpack can't be applied with jjpatcher. Jjpatcher applies patches to ram and not the cxc files so the patches aren't 'permanent', meaning you need to run jjpatcher java app every time you turn on the phone.

Basically to write a patch to the cxc is simple enough but the phone won't accept the modified file unless it's brown.

and just one tip, I dont mean to confuse you , you will need brown cert if you want to transfer a FS file to PC

But can be achieved by other methods (customize_upgrade.xml/Codeclaw FS Xtractor/Read3150.exe for eg).

Wait.... So all i need the brown cert for is if i want to get a FS FROM MY CELLPHONE? but is not necessarilly  needed if i want to put a FS INTO MY PHONE???
Is that it??? A Question THough...If I Flashed a Main and A FS with CID 82 using WOtan Can i change it back to a MAIN and FS With CID 53 or lower without having any problem???

Correct and brown if you want to patch the cxc files.

CID can't be changed by flashing.

Another Question. What Tutorial and/or tools would i be needing for me to install cam and acoustic drivers and also backlght effects? flashing in any of these doesnt need a brown cert. right??   OW And Thank You So Much For Replying up to now!

As mentioned; you do not need brown to upload files. You can either use the Filesystem tool in A2uploader or FAR Manager and SEFP2 plugin.
