Someone gave me a c902, it has a problem which i thought i could fix by flashing. When i press the power button the it vibrates and the keypad lights go on but after like 5sec it kind of restarts, it does the same thing again. I tried to flash it but the computer cannot detect it, i did the usual hold c and insert cable but nothing. By the way its not showing anything on the LCD. What could be the problem and solution?

Try to connect it using usb boot rom mode (by pressing and holding 2+5 keys while connecting usa data cable, instead of c key).
First, you need to identify it before you flash it, and:
Make sure latest usb flash driver installed properly.
Make sure the usb ports on your PC work properly.
Make sure your data cable is good.
Make sure the fastport is still good.

What do you mean fastport? The area where i plug in my usb cable on the phone? i tried holding 2 and 5 but still nothing, my cable is ok, its what i use to customiz my k800, that ofcourse also means my drivers are alright also. Could a hardware problem within the phone cause it not to be detected?

Yes, that is what I mean, it's called fastport because it's a multifunction port.

Have you tried to clean the fastport's pins?
What about connecting the phone to your PC without pressing and holding anything, Does it respond?
Does the phone also respond when a charger attached?

yes i cleaned them, connecting the phone to my pc without pressing anything does completely nothing! The phone also does not respond to the charger. However, when i try starting up the phone while its connectd to the pc, the pc will give a msg saying device not recognised. I opened the phone and found that the cable to the LCD has a slight cut so i will try geting another one, but still it was suppose to be detected by the pc right?

no cracks, no scratches, no any visual damages (glass+ribbon), however 2 of LCD do not work anymore.

I have 2 c902 to test, so I'm definitely sure that the problem is in LCD

1. Re-flash / update firmware
if problem is not fixed, then:
2. Replace LCD
;)

found the same problem in earlier posts:
