My Budget is 22000 INR.

I'm afraid arc S fits into that budget.

It is 27000 here where I live.

Ray is a good choice. I've compared arc (not arc S) and ray. The display is sharper on ray. When it comes to apps, both phones are good but I noticed some lag on arc (may be just the one i tried). Camera pic quality is a tad better on arc (it's negligible if you consider the prices of both phones). You loose hdmi on ray but you get a front camera!
The most important fact I noticed: You only need a hand to operate ray where as arc needs both your hands!  If you're a lazy guy, this can bother you at times!
I personally think ray is better than arc (arc S). It's value for money. So I recommend ray.

Just wait for MWC. If this is correct, you get a dual core for the same price of ray.

I just phoned one of my friend in chennai. He said it's available there. I believe it's the old stock because they sell it for 25000. I hardly know about HTCs' prices. :p

Posted 22 February 2012 - 08:09 PM

I have Neo V.
For the price I got it 263E it's good phone, if it costs more than that, than it's to much.
Camera: well it's 5MP, and you can feel that in the images. Don't expect miracles. Actually I'm a bit disappointed, knowing how SE cameras can be good. But I got used to it. If you need some exact images of something, PM me. Didn't compare it to Arc.

Screen is really good.

Build quality, also good. Thought I have it in thick rubber case. Only problem I have is left "chrome" part, after some time you can sense that it's loosed a bit(but really a bit), when you press it with finger you feel like it's not 100% fit. After some time I even forget about that :)

Battery: I find it really good, considering story's I hear from people with android phones, meaning that android OS by itself is hungry for battery.
I'm not afraid that I will be left without power by the end of the day. (if you need specific times on anything which you use mostly, PM me)

Only problem I know about Neo(V) is that some units restart's by themselves. Someone(I think Nevin) gave me some links in TBTITW form here: http://talk.sonymobi...munity/support. I however didn't face any restart, and I think they solved that in latest units, as no one reports restarts at XDA.

Don't know which HTS's you thought about, so tell, maybe someone know about them. I know some HTC devices have problem with death grip.
Desire S is good phone, great unibody housing, though some users also reports that battery cover gets loose after some time. I was thinking about getting it instead of NeoV, but it was a bit more expensive(but that's not main reason why I didn't got it), it also have problem with killing WiFi signal, and you can kill it(I mean make a brick from it) by removing battery from it and putting it back in in some close time. Also you could kill it by updating more than one app from market. But now you can do that, as market updates one at the time.
Sensation is also one I thought about but some reports dust in screen problem, and problem with grounding pin(which grounds screen on back plate)

Anw, not to :censored: to much :) ask if you want any more information.

Hi.. So here's the thing, my Mimmi had a touchscreen problem which SE Service Centre Team couldn't repair after several attempts so SE has agreed to give me a brand new Mimmi. But after using Mimmi for a few months, i was really disappointed with it's battery life and it's slow speed. The battery life is pathetic according to me. So I've spoken with the Dealer and the main Distributor in my home state, and they have agreed to let me swap my New Mimmi for a Mango, but I would have to pay a little extra than what I paid for my Mimmi ( I will only go in for the Mango if it fits in my budget). So what I wanted to know is, how long does Mango's battery last with data traffic on and also for how long would the battery last with 3G mode on. If there's any other known problem with Mango, then I would like to know. And one more thing, any idea about Mango getting an Official ICS update from SE/Sony??
Thank you!!

Mango WILL get ICS (S(E) said all 2011 products will get it).

Without using the Mango Im borrowing I seem to recall I had a few days battery life - but this was on stock ROM with nothing installed and I cant remember if I had data on or off.

Hello :)
One of the senior person at my work place has asked me to find out a good android phone within INR 20,000. Can you guys suggest some?? Sony or Samsung.. I had suggested him the Xperia™ U, but I really don't have time to search online for more options, on top of it I'm a bit ill.. I will short-list a few later when I get time, but if you people can help, please do post her ;)
His main requirement: 3.5+" screen :p (that shows he's not really into tech :p ) Thanks!!

EDIT:

Ok, I have short listed a few phones, can you people help me  select the best or the better option.
  • Xperia™ go
  • Xperia™ sola
  • Xperia™ U
  • Galaxy S DUOS

If you people want to suggest any other phone, then please go ahead.

Thank you!

And @madfish, I opted for the green font so that members can spot the questions easily among the flurry of comments here. I know thequestion mark icon exists, but the green color helps IMO and it doesn't hurt the eye too :)
