Hey, i`ve just bought a vodafone RO k800 with vodafone branded menu icons. i want to know if i can change the menu.ml like on k750 with far manager. or if i can't like that... how ?

Interesting stuff! Now with the bruteforce PhoneXC released, I'm looking into possible things to do with my k800, though I will have to wait until I've been to the shop with it while I still have legit vanilla firmware on it because I can't send MMSes and I need to have them take a look at that problem .

Thoughts and questions:

Are acoustics files compatible with older models? The MP3 player in k800 sounds very bad (heavy dynamic range compression filter), and I'd prefer w800 acoustics if possible.

SMS pref_store.txt is empty, does this mean k800 already has unlimited sms storage or is there another reason?

Display driver has 10bpp colours and 12bpp colours, maybe it's possible to force 12bpp all the time?

Camera driver has lots of comments inside! Maybe we can do tricks like enable image stabilizer for portrait, or enable autofocus for landscape?

I can't extract main firmware image, and I suspect that some things I want to change (profiles icons) are in there.

UI files mention fonts, maybe it's possible to make font size smaller so we can make full use of our 240x320 screen estate

Maybe someone who has both k750/w800 and k800 can check which hacks for k750/w800 are cross-compatible with k800?
