Hi everyone,
Just wondering whether menu animation can be disabled/turned off.
Is it possible to modify some code so that menu will appear instantly instead of animating?
If so, can anyone show me?

Yep, that's the idea.
Instead of painfully showing the menu with lagging animation (like the one on my c902),
why not throw it away and be done with plain old instant menu?
There must be some way to make that happen (which unfortunately I'm not capable of lol)

Possible with patch but I haven't seen one.

Almost the same was my idea Xenon, but I also wanted other transitions to be faster so as to not to lag. An elf "SECusrsorA2" does that but it is quite buggy(stanby flash is halted on opening the Walkman) and besides it is an ELF. Plz create a patch for it...

elf does not speed up gui speed(it just slows down it more than normal),its just a fps trick to human eye

Well, if that's it, then that would be better than rather eliminating the animation...

Maybe a patch with an option to manually specify the duration of animation in milisec, perhaps?
