Since the Eclair update, one of the new things on the UK generic X10i has been UEFA.com in the app list. This is not quite a pre-installed app but the "opportunity" to install it by entering some details to take advantage of Sony's Champions League sponsorship.

Personally I quite like the idea of an official Champions League app so i have tried to install it. I entered the required details and pressed register to reach a screen thanking me and showing a continue button. Pressing continue brings me to the Xperia background with a timer circle going round and round for a few seconds before returning to the app list. An app list with nothing new! Pressing UEFA.com again simply goes through the registration process again....

Has anyone got any further and actually installed the CL app?

Not yet but I have the same thing app on my X10 Mini Pro.

If I get it working I will give you a shout (even though I dont like football that much )

This still doesn't work for me by the way though I have discovered something interesting.

As an alternative you can apparently get the app by going to mobile.uefa.com on your phone. Doing this on my X10i tells me that I am seemingly using an HTC Desire is disguise!!!

OK seeing as the "official" route to this free app doesn't work, here:

It's nice enough but nothing to blow you away.
