What about Sony Hazel. It is DB3350 phone and reading from that is not possible. I only have the Russian version of the Firmware as a Backup & not the Indian version. I would like to know is the procedure same for this phone as well. Also, do I need to create my own Customize_upgrade from the text you have provided. I would like to be absolutely sure about this because I don't want to mess with the phone. I am currently having Language package: APAC-ANZ and it doesn't have the option for 'Hindi' Language.
It would be great if apart from writing I could use Hindi as Phone language as well.

Also, It would be kind of you if you may direct me to the precise location of files that I should use!!!

Just put all the fonts at tpa/preset/system/fonts
and hi.lng and hi.t9 at tpa/preset/system/languages

After reading the original tutorial. I am a bit confused !!
Do, you want me to upload all the files along with FONT.XML in the fonts folder?
also in that case I believe that the original FONT.XML would get replaced with the one provided by you but then there is no entry for Universal_reg.ltt only for Indic_reg.ltt in the one provided by you would that be right?
Or would the two get merged. Also, in the languages folder that you have provided there is no Hi.t9 . However, this is in another language pack for which you have provided the link at the end.

How should I add support for FONT.XML?
I don't have access to the original one as I have the backup to the Russian version only. Do, I need to edit this file somehow or should I just copy and upload from the one that you have provided!!

Which base file should I use 'INDIAN LNG' or The once that you have provided separately as 'Fonts' & 'Language' file ?

Just drag n drop all font From the INDIAN LANGUAGES pack to tpa/preset/system/fonts
And only Hi.lng and Hi.t9(From any pack) to tpa/preset/system/languages

Thanks a lot man!!! You showed a lot of patience ..... I love the Hindi fonts.
By the way, Just want to update the thread. First-of-all, Hi.t9 Doesn't work on DB3350. Instead the Zi8DatHI.z8d format is what we need. Maybe that might be a change from lower A2 versions. So, Indian lng is the folder that we need for DB3350. Also, I only copied HI.lng and Zi8DatHI.z8d file in the language folder and it all worked. I don't know why the other lng are there because when I tried the Gu.lng I didn't find any new option either in the writing or the phone language .

Also, It would be better if you also mention DB3350 instead of A2 3rd version. That's confusing for newer people like me.

Secondly, I would also like you to mention that in DB3350 we only need to upload the files from the folder to the respective folders and then we would get the "Hindi" option. For that, we don't need to edit or update any Font.xml or customize.xml

I know you also have mentioned what I just mentioned but I guess you just need to be more elaborate and there is a scope for improvement in the tutorial(Steps)...

Tell in detail what you done!
And another thing is that you can read in Tamil but as far as I tried I was unable to get Tamil and others except Hindi as Writing language and now I have no time to try it!
So you can read in Tamil easily if you want provided that yours is DB32xx/DB3350 phone!

DB3210/3200 only. For others, please read original topic by PPG

In addition to existing languages in your phone,  you will be able to

• Write/read in hindi.
  
• Read most indian languages in default web browser and SMS.
  
• Copy/Paste of notes in most indian languages between applications and SMS.
  
• Support rupee symbol
      - requires existing extra character support patch (of your phone) with mod unicode '20b9' included.
      - or just extra character support patch. Here for personal viewing only.

Supported Languages (In addition to default languages availbale)

• Write - Hindi
  
• Read/Copy&Paste -Hindi,Telegu,Bengali,Tamil,Malayalam,Sinhalese,Gujrati & Punjabi

Installation :
Switch off your phone, run a2 uploader or FAR2, access phone internal
OR for brown phones, just  

• Copy files in language.rar  to tpa/preset/system/language
  
• Copy & replace files in fonts.rar  to tpa/preset/system/fonts
  
• Copy customize_upgrade.xml to tpa/preset/custom

Switch on or reboot your phone and check your phone support all languages.

I tried this but after copying all language including English gets disabled.

Now the phone shows only the codes...R4:4011, R4:4623 etc..

How to revert to normal way???

You have to put lng files by renaming them in to small letters like hi.lng
if itz nt working then flash it with fbn and custpack!
