Here is how to take screenshots of your android device:

1. Download the application 'Barcode Scanner' using search in the android market.

2. Scan this image using the Barcode Scanner app.

or you could just search 'ShootMe' in the market and follow the instructions when the app has loaded. The Barcode Scanner is useful so I thought I'd include that.

for ***NON-ROOTED*** devices

The alternative way is to use your PC.

Download SDK java (if you are running X64, download both x86 and x64! Problems will occur if you dont and that is the only way around it AFAIK - this is what I had to anyway!) then install this: http://forums.se-nse...adb-on-windows/

In my case I downloaded everything that was to do with 1.5 and 1.6 versions of Android when prompted. Then simply run ddms.bat once your phone is connected, then click on your device highlighting it, then click on device, screen capture. Im sure you will figure it out from there ;)

Thanks to cchaos & mr.megi for this ;)

I think a couple of rules might be required though ;)

  • Screenshots of Android phones only
  • State which launchers/themes/widgets/apps we used for the effect
Just an idea anyway ;)

Nice guys, my X10 is not rooted unfortunately and I can't be bothered setting up the SDK on this computer right now but I'll try get you some screens at some point.

For now though I use ADW Launcher with widgets of note being SwitchPro, Guage Battery Widget and Apps Organizer for custom folder icons.

bottom icons need to be removed permanently they don't look good at all on any screen imo :p I think the other background looked better, its too dark and purple some icons are hard to see so it looks unbalanced if you know what I mean :)
