It's been a while since I last "fixed" my phone. Now I'm trying to do a couple of things and I might need help.

I'm now running R1FA037 hutch main and fs on my phone. Is it possible to flash a 035 fs (e.g. s.asia, china, orange) and keep the 037 main? Will that affect the custom drivers and patches I've loaded? What will be the pros and cons for this? Will I have to "brown" my phone again?

You might be asking why go back to 035 fs, it's the asian language I'm missing... and need now. Either that or a way to load asian language into 037? I tried SEUS to flash an original fw, but all it says is that my phone is working fine and refuses to "fix" it.

Personally I'd flash these with A2Uploader and debrand it at the same time. You won't have to brown it again but it will remove all your currant mods. BTW SEUS doesn't work on brown so thats why it says you already have the latest.

So basically, it will still stay brown, and any patches I'd like back I'll have to use 035 versions, yes? I'll still be able to load camera/acoustic drivers, etc, right?

Yes. Use generic 035 patches.

By flashing the fs, all the files in phone will be gone. You have to start modding from the begining.

It'll be fine. Just charge the battery first and backup any contacts and messages etc.

Fully aware of losing everything when reflashing. Which makes me ask one more question. Is there a way around the photo importing thing with windows? Everytime I reflash and start importing photos afterwards, windows will start importing every single photo/video I have as if it was the first time.  

It's just a minor inconvenience, but still an inconvenience. And methinks there's no work around to it because technically, it is a new phone after a reflash.

i was looking for chinese...   seems like it's not listed with the languages.  will it work if i load a .lng file?

Well to write Chinese you'll need a china main. The problem then is you won't find many patches for it, here at least.

ah. so the patches supplied here are for the generic main? i guess going back to red and updating via SEUS will do the trick. i'll leave that for another day. thanks for the help, though. =)
