Okay here comes FIRST ROOT for X10

It was done by Jerpelea, biktor_gj and Bin4ry!

This is Idiot proof in 3 steps (thanks Jerpelea for that )

First download this file and extract it:
NEW ROOT : (It will let stock apps, for cleaning Rom check jerpeleas post #4)

New instructions for FULL R2BA020 GENERIC UK ROOT
1.
flash generic uk rom with any metod
See Post #4 for files

2.run step 2 and select "update from sdcard" on phone

3.run step 3 and will root your phone

So this is easy and first root for X10!

Howto Install Superuser.apk : (we forgot it sorry :p)

Thanks ttydragon&gibou13 (pretty same method ):

cd the-path-to-where-you-extracted-the-root-files/ROOT/Step4
adb install the-path-to-where-you-extracted-the-su-file\system\app\Superuser.apk
adb shell mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock2 /system
adb push the-path-to-where-you-extracted-the-su-file\system\app\Superuser.apk /sdcard/Superuser.apk
adb push the-path-to-where-you-extracted-the-su-file\system\bin\su /sdcard/su
adb shell dd if=/sdcard/su of=/system/bin/su
adb shell dd if=/sdcard/Superuser.apk of=/system/app/Superuser.apk
adb shell reboot

Errors of X10Flash:

INFO: start
java.io.IOException: Unable to open channel, GetLastError=0
at com.sonyericsson.cs.usbflashnative.impl.USBFlashNa tiveImpl.openChannel(Native Method)

If you get this error you have added WRONG device ID. Maybe you have not only ONE in registry. Try finding another one!
If all don't work. Please install SEUS one time and this far SEUS wants you to connect XPERIA in flashmode.
After this is done you should find your Device ID! (Because SEUS found it and installed drivers! )



There is another Erro regarded to 32bit and 64bit Systems!
If you got this Error, please uninstall Java -> Reboot
Download Sun JRE 32bit -> install -> Reboot.

Now you should be fine.

FULL ROM R2BA020 GENERIC UK ROOTED

in 3 easy steps

1.flash generic uk rom with any metod
flash tool - http://hotfile.com/d....16_ft.rar.html
omnius - http://hotfile.com/d....6_omn.rar.html

2.run step 2 and select "update from sdcard" on phone

3.run step 3 and will root your phone

DOWNLOAD (Fixed) (step2 and 3)

!!! DO NOT USE FILES FROM OTHER UPDATES !!!

CLEANUP(as this is an full rom you have to remove stuff by yourself)
@adb shell rm /system/app/mox*
@adb shell rm /system/app/off*
@adb shell rm /system/app/play*
@adb shell rm /system/app/track*
@adb shell rm /system/app/EManual*
@adb shell rm /system/app/SemcIME*
@adb shell rm /system/app/LatinImeTutorial*
@adb shell rm /system/app/AndroidQuadrapop*
@adb shell rm /system/app/LatinIME*
@adb shell rm /system/app/SEMCTouchPal*
@adb shell rm /system/app/se-supp*
@adb shell rm /system/app/Launch*
@adb shell rm /data/app/*.zip
@adb shell rm -r /etc/semc/startupshow
@adb shell rm -r /etc/semc/preset/app

BUGFIXES
keyboard not showing

1.goto settings->regional->htc IME - enter and exit that menu
2.open an imput filed that requires keybord ->select ime ->select Keyboard

keyboard will show anytime from now!


old shortcuts
1.goto settings ->sdcard ->factory reset
2.redo step 4
!!! if you did an backup it may restore your broken shortcuts


restore mediascape (from step4 folder)
adb shell mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock2 /system
adb shell dd if=/sdcard/apps/MediascapePluginManager.apk of=/system/app/MediascapePluginManager.apk
adb shell dd if=/sdcard/apps/MediascapePluginManager.odex of=/system/app/MediascapePluginManager.odex
adb shell chmod 644 /system/app/MediascapePluginManager*
adb shell dd if=/sdcard/apps/mediascape.apk of=/system/app/mediascape.apk
adb shell dd if=/sdcard/apps/mediascape.odex of=/system/app/mediascape.odex
adb shell chmod 644 /system/app/mediascape*
adb shell reboot

return to shipped rom
1.download flash tool/unbrick
2.download desired rom
from
