Tutorial : Enabling and using elfs

Briefly,elfs are UNIX executable,they are like applications. Read here: http://en.wikipedia....linkable_format

What you need

1. Elf Loader and DYN_CONST.bin.

2. Elf Library for your phone’s firmware. These are updated after every few days, so you will have to check and patch with newer library patches as they are made available.
NB: In A2, installing only elfloader will cause the phone to not boot.

Note: The elfs that you use may sometimes come with library updates. In that case, you will need to patch with them too before using the elf (but only if they are for your phone and firmware)

3. Elfs.

Do note that some elfs may not have the library updates for your phone and firmware. In that case you will have to wait for the library updates or request them from the author or any patch porter.

Setting Up Elf Pack

1. To start off, create the following folders...

- In phone memory:

usb/other/Zbin
usb/other/Ini
usb/other/Zbin/Config
usb/other/Zbin/DLL
libraryDLL.dll goes to usb/other/Zbin/DLL folder

- In M2 Card

card/other/Zbin/Daemons
card/other/Zbin/config



2. Copy DYN_CONST.bin file to usb/other/Zbin/Config (in phone memory)

DYN_CONST.bin can be found here http://justdanpo.che...YSYFipXPsD7Q8nQ

Please note that any DB3210 DYN CONST will work with any DB3210 and the same applies for DB3150.

3. Then apply the Elf Loader patch and the Library patch.

4. Put the *.elf files to card/Other/Zbin or usb/other/zbin.

If you want an elf that needs to be started with phone,put it in Daemons folder.

It would be nice if we could attach the files here and also make them into "packs" ie: Lib, loader and dyn in one attachment for each model.

It won't be good.cos soon libs will be updating regularly

It should be noted that "DrawString", "SetFont", etc. associated with drawing lines will not work on db3210 at this time.

Music Tagger most times ruins the track info of my mp3 files ...atm better to use a java app till someone make a a2 dedicated id tag changing elf

And pls post elfs with their version number,then easy to use

also upload elfs to se nse server(to ur post ) so users can download without any problem
