Hi freinds i am having a doubt or everybody else can give their opinion why major mobile companies are not bringing in dual sim phones , bcoz chinese companies are doing it in a very simple way . First to say i am from india here chinese companies are pouring in there phones with dual sim as a basic facility but no major player is giving dual sim phones . But samsung has got 1 or 2 models with dual sim phones . Let me know the real reason behind it . Why dont sony ericsson do it in a full swing .And forgot to mention and the chinese phones or far cheaper than the branded mobile phones .

Perhaps because battery life of dual-SIM mobile phones is reduced by about a third...
Also, to compensate this, they'll have to use bigger batteries(typical with chinese fone being bulky), which is change the look n make phones bulky.
And SE is one brand that don't wanna fiddle with it .

Or perhaps because you buy a phone from Sony and you use it on Vodafone and you like it..but you also want to have a phone with Orange and you have to buy another phone..and also from Sony because you like it so much...thus you buy 2 phones instead of one with 2 sims

The battery explanations seems very reasonable.

There is one. Google Samsung D880. Its a dual sim card samsung with a good 3MP cam.
I've used it before, and it is a decent phone. One thing though is the battery life. Once you on dual sims the battery goes....

Yes, here in Romania, you can buy dual-sim adapters, I'm not sure about quality and such, but I know they're for every model.
