Fonearena have posted up a very nice hands-on video of the X10. Check it out below:

Looking smoother now, more like the standard you'd expect from a retail handset.
I'm leaning towards this over the Nexus One and perhaps on a par with the HTC Desire

Design-wise, X10 wins hands-down from the Desire IMO

Oh yes I very much agree but there is also the size to consider, the X10 is pretty big but I'll reserve judgment until it's in my hand.
Also the Desire has that optical track pad which is pretty cool and of course we know that Sense UI is excellent.

I'll have to agree with you on that.

If :se: had the X10 ready 1 month ago, it wouldn't have had this much competition <-<

Exactly! They're just lucky that the Nexus One isn't in retail shops

It doesn't look bigger than would be expected to house a gargantuan 4" screen though ;)

But the inches of screen shouldn't really make it fatter :p

Well I was unsure as to which dimension was defined as fat, especially seeing as it's less than 1mm thicker than an iPhone and is actually thinner than an HTC Magic. Doesn't sound too fat to me ;)
