As per title.
Only looking to flash my W995 to remove the 3 branded software and have a generic phone.
Can someone please point me in the direction of a guide for this?
Total newb to this so please, idiot proof instructions.

well just upload a new cda e.g western europe via a2 uploader to tpa/preset/custom then restart the phone. Turn the phone on and wait till the please wait screen has gone. Then turn the phone off and update via seus

I just winced reading that.
Like I said above mate, I haven't done this before. I have downloaded A2 Uploader but when I run it I don't get the Add/Remove buttons at the side. Just a box. Weird.

The other way is to do what krazyd007 suggested ( customize_upgrade xml trick)
BTW Turn off your AV before using A2Uploader and run the GGsetup exe (flash drivers).

A2Uploader is not working, it has a blank screen on the right hand side and no buttons, no add, no remove, identify is there though but that fails. It's weird.
I'll try it on another computer and try get it going.
This other method, where can I create (or at least find) an XML ?

I'm a noob and have the same problem. just bougt w995 black two week ago but got cid53 RED
I search everywhere in the forum, all the masters said can't patch cid53 RED for free yet, must convert to Brown.
But for now I satisfied with only change the cam driver, acoustics, fonts with a2uploader. thanx to all masters here!
will keep looking to patch my w995 ...
