Is there any way to get the Track ID app on a non SE phone? I searched the market but could find it. I know Shazam and Soundhood can do it too, but they are not as accurate. Any apks?

I'm sorry if this is an inappropriate topic to ask this question..
But I wanted to know which is the best music player for android phones.
My requirements:
  • Playback quality should be really good. Clear sound, loud enough for me to think that I shouldn't be using an ipod instead, and should give clear bass at high volume that goes all the way without distortion.
  • Customizable UI.
  • Equalizer.

Thank you.

@hmnk- player pro. INR50 but totally worth it ( there are other ways too but its too good)
not very customizable but themes are available, in-built lockscreen, equalizer.
I haven't checked bass though because I prefer heavy metal. + fetch album art directly or manually choose from search results.

my recommendations- quickpic (gallery)
MX player for videos
IM+ for chat
extended controls for power widget
zedge for ringtones
Boat browser
live wallpaper- radiant particles, light wall + (there was one more awesome wall I forget but I'll edit late when I remember its name)

right. as every Android user knows, there are gajillions of apps out there in Google Play. there're apps to do everything, but sometimes it's hard to find one that does something, and does it good enough. so why don't we make some kind of a list with the apps that we think are the best in what are they doing? here come some of my favs:

web browsing

Dolphin HD - still testing, but after launching it struck me how fast it was compared to the stock browser. also has got those nice Chrome-ish looks; free

music

PowerAmp - that wasn't a surprise, was it? really powerful app which has got a kick-butt graphic equalizer (with an ability to set your own preset), supports mp3 tagging, rating your music, downloading missing cover arts, gapless playback and many, many more; 15 days free trial, then paid to unlock

n7player - if you didn't like the looks of PowerAmp, you might like this one. it has pretty awesome preview of albums as a huge pane with cover arts as tiles. it also has a good graphic equalizer in which you can enable additional reverb effects; 15 days free trial, then paid to unlock

keyboard

Swiftkey X - it's THE king of keyboards. it's most distinctive feature is great word-predicting engine, which can learn about your writing style from your messages, GMail, facebook and twitter accounts if you allow it to do so. it also learns how accurately you press the keys to make silent corrections of your typos; 30 days free trial, then paid

8pen - an app made especially for small screen devices. it does look weird and unfriendly, but once you'll force yourself to try it for several days, you'll love it and soon you'll be typing with it really fluently; paid

launchers

Launcher Pro - it impressed me with how smooth the scrolling became. lots of themes, customizations and whatnots

Go Launcher EX [as the market gave me the link only to Polish version, the url I pasted directs you to all the apps made by GO team. you'll need it anyway] - lots of themes, lots of customization. the only con is that you have it doesn't come bundled with almost any widgets and you have to download/buy them from GO store.

Alarm clocks

Senti Wayk - I just LOVED the interface. the great feature is that you can set ringtone to raise the volume slowly to the maximum instead of thrashing your eardrums all of sudden. it displays the inspirational quote and, if you're feeling fancy, you can snooze the alarm by waving in front of the proximity sensor. it's great to wayk up with it.

why don't you post the apps you like? feel free to add any category you want to [messaging, launchers, dialers, alarm clocks, widgets etc.], add some description and explain why is it better than the other ones doing similar stuff. and don't forget to mention the price. also, please note that it isn't Games section ;-)
remember, do NOT provide any pirate links to paid apps. do it and I'll hunt you down and drop on you like a ton of these rectangular things you use to built houses and stuff with. not to mention raising your warning level.

Pocket - a great cross-platform app for saving website to read it later. you can e.g. save the page you're reading on PC via Chrome extension and then sync it to your smartphone, which can then download it for offline reading if you wish. it also works the other way too, of course. also available for iOS.

Swably - recommend the apps you like to other people and get recommendation from other people and follow your friends. kind of Twitter for app sharing.
