As you may have noticed, Android has been getting more attention from us recently, not least because of the impending announcement of the much anticipated Sony Ericsson X10.

This is quite deliberate and you can expect to see more as we start to cover Android as a whole platform both on the forum and blog. Of course this is not to say that we won't be covering Sony Ericsson, we will and things will be a combination of "SE-AND-DROID"

We've also started to open some Android forum sections:
Android Phones & General - general chat about Android and the devices running it
Android Applications - discuss Android apps and the Market or post apps for release. The usual copyright & warez rules apply.

PS- the above icon is not final but it's pretty much a unified idea from everyone who contributed (it was actually a bit freaky, we all produced the same thing)

Awesome idea! It'd be great to have a whole Android modding section on se-nse. Seeing as there are alot of android experts around already.

We'll cover WinMo on SE devices but that's about all. The idea behind giving Android more space here is that it's the most up and coming platform around at the moment and so it's a good time to get involved, especially as we run up to the SE Rachel release.

So everyone, get your Android modding and theming boots on and make se-nse a prime place to come for droidelicious stuff

Se-and-droid? isnt it goin to misunderstood for the moto 'droid'????
oh btw the concept is superb, if some modders here can do some magic we can make se-nse an android hub
and in the case of WinMo i think we dont have that much activity here

Well firstly I think Droid is goint to be a series of handsets for Verizon with the second one rumoured to be Droid Eris by HTC but I do take your point.
Secondly though the name when read is meant to sound similar like "Sony Ericsson Android"
It could perhaps be written differently so it just contains the Android word e.g. SE-And-roid but that doesn't look right to me and doesn't make the x AND x work.

The Android invasion continues as we've just opened the first two Android forum sections

They are Android Phones & General for general chat about Android and the devices running it, and Android Applications which is obviously about Android apps and the Market. Remember that the usual rules about warez and copyrighted material do apply.
