Hi all! It's been a while since I have been here at se-nse.

I have heavily moded W200i which is cool.
But there are two particular things that piss me off, and I'm planning to buy a new Sony Ericsson phone.

The question is what to buy? I have a basic idea of what I want.

I want it to have:
Java
3D Games
Display - 240x320 (or 320x240)
Walkman (or audio player)
Memory Stick M2 Micro
And of course - be able to modify and customize it.

I don't care for:
Bluetooth, Wi Fi

I also want to point out that my w200i has a bug in the firmware:
sometimes the Walkman looses my custom skin and resets to default, pictures stop showing, contact pictures also don't show, screen server disappears, shutdown animation disappears. After restart everything is ok for a while.

Any ideas will be helpfull.

Not bad . A bit more expensive than W880i, but cool nonetheless.
I never used slide type phones before.
Is it Ok for games (because I got a lot )?

I rarely play games on mine (only during exams ), but I think it's ok . It doesn't have gaming buttons, but neither does W880, neither does any game use those

It does have an accelerometer

These features are present in almost any good model. You need to decide whether you want a newer A2 model or a DB2020 and so on. First, you should decide how much money you want to spend on a new phone. Then choose a phone according to that and we can help you with it.

The W880i is one of only three SE phones I've actually kept. It's just a very nice design and a pleasing phone to hold.
Some people don't like the keys claiming that they are too small but I find them quite easy to use.

I forgot to mention that I prefer it to be classic (no slide or opening). That's why I stopped on W880i in the first place.

For now I know about modding DB2020 CID52 (which is my w200i right?) only.
I really don't know the difference between CID52 and CID53 (which is w880?).
I never looked it up. I guess I have to.

For now I'm thinking of buying W880i.

w200 = db2012, comes in CID51 to CID53.

W880 = db2020, comes in CID49 to CID53.

CID53 can be modded by FAR and JD Flasher plugin. Patching is done with anyCID

CID53 GDFS cannot be backed upped for free at this moment of time

Yeah, I found out later that w200 was DB2012 * *.

What about SETool 2 Lite (or others) and XS++ ?? Do they work with DB2020?

I have FAR with JD Flasher but it never worked for me. It keeps crashing when I chose "Just da flasher". Tried updating the USB drivers but the result was the same. I gave up on FAR.
I now mostly use SE Tool and XS++.

Yes, but not with CID53.
