Well patching is available now, but i don't know how to pin point my problem, when viewing wallpapers&videos in filemanager, i get broken images&videos when i wanna set an image as a wallpaper, it wont let me, i have to restart the phone.
I am using around 1O patches+4 sysgfx graphic patches which i replaced bat&signal&statusbar&sleepmode icons. well
is that because of the patches?a single patch maybe?.
Does any other K850 user encounter this behavior

That is a heap management problem. The K850 suffers alot from this. Similar effects are noticed on DB2020 when replacing graphics with sysgfx vkp or running too many elves as the table for loading images has a limited size.

I removed all my vpk graphics,problem persists, maybe use less patches or something?

Well i just checked it, i started going through my stuff again, for a moment it seemed that it was ok ,but there is a but..
Is it possible that the phone_app got corrupted or something?.

Well to bring up the "Mismanaged heap" again. My K850 made this sometimes i just rebooted phone to fix it. i hope you tried that?

This problem is not caused by GFX patches.

There are only two possibilities:
1. You've too many icons in tpa/system/icons

2. You're using a menu.ml file which comes with ALOT of images


You may try to Optimize your PNGs to prevent this. If that fails, remove few images you don't require.
This problem occurs not only on K850 but on all DB2010, 2020 and 3150 models, probably 3210 too.

1. Tpa/system/icons>>i only had 4 icons.
2.As for menu.ml i was using a lot of icons.
I replaced menu.ml with the original, removed all icons in Tpa/system/icons, restored original phone_app
nothing from the above worked out, solution was to reflash.
Atm i am using the same GFX patches also added more, with no problems.

The K850 works in mysterious ways .

K850 doesn't work in mysterious ways. Anything that consumes too much heap can be expected to cause this problem - in K850 and in all other models too.

i am also facin the same problems is w810i..... i ve patched some 15 patches includein GFX......is it causin becoz i've placed the gfx icon in pictures folder?????

You've too many GFX icons or a menu.ml with many large icons. Optimize your PNGs to resolve the issue and also try to reduce the number of GFX icons that you use.

As Boysie already answered, No. The only solution is what i mentioned above.
