Hi, I hope I've posted this in the right place.

I have recently de-branded my W995 from 3 (UK) branding. When the handset was branded the media player had a 'TV' option on the first screen (where Photo, Music, Video, Games, etc are), within the TV section there were URL links to Sky Mobile TV and BBC iPlayer, however the de-branded version does not have this. Is there a way to get this back? I have tried looking through my FS and can't find anything that controls what functions are on the first media screen. Is it something that can be edited or is there something I can upload. It's not a major problem if it can't be done as I can access them via internet bookmarks.

I've only just started modding my phone so please be patient with me if I'm missing something obvious.

I'm not a pro when it comes to phone hacking but I think it's impossible without the branding..
I'd guess that the TV link is built into the branded version and does not exist in the unbranded version.
Maybe works if you copy the right files from the 3 brand to the unbranded version and change some files but I have no idea if it works, just guessed

I take it by 'wait' you mean it is not yet available. Only that I have been looking at other posts in the forum and found a customize_upgrade.xml from Lynott, for modding the media player, however from what I can tell it is for DB3150 phones not DB3210, but I might be missing something.

If this c_u.xml would work, am I able to change the icons to or would this require something else.

Appologies if I'm being stupid, but I'm only just starting out modding and probably trying to run before I can walk!!

i read somewhere, that the path of the folder scanned by media, can be edit through some xml file. (by this way, we can store some pictures or music or video, which will not be appeared in the "media". and can be accessed by file manager..... and it will shorten the time to "update" the media too, if someone has large number of files in his card.... and phone will get faster....) now i cant seem to find that page.. can anyone help me out?
