Acoustics based on R1EA033 from w995.
To upload just need to put the file in "misc",press flash and connect your phone. The subfolders are organizated.

Based on W995 R1EA033? Why not to make it from W995 R1FA035? I thought R1FA035 has much better audio quality than R1EA033... Believe me :)

W995 R1FA035 Original Acoustic by Jock.

And I already tried your accoustic... Sounds very good in HPM-77, but there's too much treble in non-IEM headphones such as HPM-85... Nice acoustics, anyway :)

Used R1EA cause R1FA have the same values on PHF's :good:
Tomorrow i'll tune that version for big driver headphones lowering a bit the highs.
And about the volume on hpm-85?Are ok?

Yep, but hes based it on the W995 R1E Acoustics, PHF's. The values haven't changed from R1E to R1F therefore techinically we can't get better on c905 using w995.

If that makes sense!

@luhccas,
I don't know, but I feel some difference after update my firmware... Maybe because of different processing in MAIN, or my Cans burns out, or maybe just a psychology? :)

About volume in big-sized drivers, it's ok... No need to change it..

Can you add some surround effect by Franc Marc, like rodriquez does? :)

You mean using stereo widening?Yes i can.
But for some musics this "kill" the soundstage...
And about the firmware update, isn't "psychology" :D
The sound processing on R1FA035 are really better.

@luhccas,
One more thing, these acoustics is not only compatible to all DB3210, but also to DB3150v2...

DB3150v1: R1xxxxx firmware, doesnt has csv in tpa/preset/acoustics. (K850, W910, K660, etc) Your acoustics is NOT compatible in these phones.
DB3150v2: R3xxxxx firmware, has csv in tpa/preset/acoustics. (W902, C902, C702, T700, W595, etc) Your acoustics is compatible in these phones.
DB3210: R1xxxxx firmware, has csv in tpa/preset/acoustics and support Capuchin. (C905, G705, W705, W995, etc) Your acoustics is compatible in these phones.

I can say this because I already tried your acoustics in all of these 3-type phones (in this case I tried K850, T700, W995). It sounds so different in K850. Doesn't compatible :)

About stereo widening, you're right! Some musics already has some reverberation effect in it! Forget my request! :)
About too much treble in non-IEM headphones, also please forget it! I just accidentaly mixed it up with some old acoustic and upload it to my phone. In fact, these acoustics are superb in HPM-85! (Mid-Sized neodymium drivers)...
And about the volume, 1 bar looks like 4 bar (because of edited vol_emp_eq_on.csv)... If I listen above 4 bar, it hurts my ear :)

Btw, your *csv only has 18 rows while original csv has 19 rows. It lacks the bolded lines below
d;-10;6;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;7F;7F;7F;7F;7F;7F;7F;7F
f;-10;6;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;7F;7F;7F;7F;7F;7F;7F;7F
l;0;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;0;7F;7F;7F;7F;49;7F;7F;7F
Is it okay?

And I noticed PHF_play.wbxml is 4.305bytes while PHF_2_play.wbxml, 3 and 4 is 4287bytes... Is it okay? I noticed some additional code around offset 990... :)

And below is some comparison between PHF_2_play.wbxml from original R1EA W995 and your awesome acoustics :)

| Offset | Luhccas | Original W995 | Parameter |

PHF_play.wbxml from Original W995 vs Original T700/W902 (they're same)
  DE:	18	00 HK BEARMODE_V2
  EF:	56	CA HK BEARN
 103:	80	00 HK BEARNADD

 128:	56	4A HK BEARP
 13C:	40	00 HK BEARPADD
 150:	80	00 HK BEARPSUM

HK SPKR* value doesn't had any changes in W995 and T700/W902

I have some suggestion for your next version :)
1. In offset 208, there's HK MIDR. I tried to change from 90 to 9A and get enhanced high quality lower frequencies without distortion or ruining some treble...
2. These parameters in the codebox below are still unchanged. Could you play more with it? Or do you think these value is the best for now?
Offset | Parameter
- 7D: HK AUXMODE_V2
- A2: HK AUX01SUM
- C7: HK AUX02SUM
- 22B: HK RXDPGA12
- 240: HK RXDPGA34
- 254: HK RXFILTER
- 26B: HK SPKRMODE_V2
- 27C: HK SPKRN

- 2C9: HK SPKRPADD
- 2DD: HK SPKRPSUM
- 335: HK TXDPGA12
- 348: HK TXDPGA3

Overall, very superb and nice acoustics. Can't wait your next version. Thanks for your attention :)

I also have some question, based on all codebox above:

1. What is BEAR and SPKR? Is there any difference between them?
2. What is the difference between PHF_play.wbxml, PHF_2_play.wbxml, 3 and 4? They're all for headphones, right? But why it must be 1, 2, 3, and 4?
3. What is P and N (in bearP and bearN, also in spkrP and spkrN)
4. What is MODE_V2, ADD and SUM?
5. What is R and T? (in Txfilter and Rxfilter)
6. What is AUX, DPGA, FILTER and X (in TX and RX)?
7. Would you like to teach me what all of the above code does?

Now about vol_emp_eq_on.csv:
0;-96;15;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;7F;7F;7F;7F;7F;7F;7F;7F

0;-6;6;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4D;4C;4C;4C;7F;49;4E;4F

l;0;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;0;7F;7F;7F;7F;49;7F;7F;7F

As far as I know:
- row 1 - 16 respectively interpret the 8-bar volume level (1 bar has 2 level, total 16 bar = 26 row)
- row 1 is the lowest bar, while row 16 is the highest bar

The question is:
1. What is row 17, 18, and 19? What is d, f, l?
2. If we take the second row:
0;-21;15;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;63;62;62;62;7F;5F;64;65
As far as I know, the bolded value is the volume. But why it must divided into 7 value?
3. first column do what? (in this case 0)
4. second column do what? (in this case -21)
5. third column do what? (in this case 15)
6. And how about the rest columns do?

I'm sorry because I bombarding you with so many question. That's because I also have some interest in acoustics modding.. I want to learn from you.. Could you teach all of us? :)

Btw, thanks for your attention :)

Oops sorry.. That's because I thought my post is too long (can be boring) to read, so I split it into two section:
1. Suggestions
2. Questions

Okay, thanks for your attention, Sir! I will not repeat that again :)

And about section 2: can I asks this for everyone in se-nse.net who knows the answer of my question? Every answer, even if it's only partial, would be appreciated. Thanks :)

No problem, maybe this questions are a bit off topic, but i'll let them be because they have to do with acoustics, but maybe they'd do better in wbxml investigation thread in research and development ;)

Thanks for the analysis and about compatibility on olders A2(even without tpa/preset/acoustic folder) you need to create that folder due the .csv is just in-put volume(like a volume control between the phone and headphone)

Yes,it's right. The implementation of values was a old test(since my first attempt of wbxml acoustics)
If the values are between a internal description you can use as base the "head" of first command offset.
For example:
In offset 990,every value(except description,of course) can be changed but the initial is the lowest and the last(sometimes, not always) are the higher. If the offset don't affect channels you can use aleatory values and keep the best for.

Thanks for the suggestion,i'll take a look at this values and compare with my test files.Working on a version for the orignal c905's headphone(Yes,the s**tie original...) and one for high definition in ear phones, big sized/open air/earbuds.
The only problem is the variable for impedance... Will be hard to found a logical value but don't cost a thing to try.

As far as I know:
- row 1 - 16 respectively interpret the 8-bar volume level (1 bar has 2 level, total 16 bar = 26 row)
- row 1 is the lowest bar, while row 16 is the highest bar

Right.

The question is:
1. What is row 17, 18, and 19? What is d, f, l?

I've don't changed nothing there.Just used the volume steps to do the basic.

View PostHiron, on 2009-08-20 18:16, said:

2. If we take the second row:
0;-21;15;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;63;62;62;62;7F;5F;64;65
As far as I know, the bolded value is the volume. But why it must divided into 7 value?

I think it's 3 basic values(low,mid and highs) the others 4 is in-put control.

3. first column do what? (in this case 0)

Is relative to vol_emp_eq_on

View PostHiron, on 2009-08-20 18:16, said:

4. second column do what? (in this case -21)

Is like DRC for the low frequency.

5. third column do what? (in this case 15)

Volume too

6. And how about the rest columns do?

Some values i have not tried to change... I have just one phone now and try values one by one is a bit tiring =/

l;0;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;0;7F;7F;7F;7F;49;7F;7F;7F

As you have seen above, I make every row has the same four value (53, 52, 52, 52).

And yes, whenever I adjust the volume bar, the volume remains the same (53, 52, 52, 52). You're right about 4 input control :)
I also noticed that usually HK AUX in PHF_play.wbxml has +1 point more than PHF_2_play.wbxml, 3 and 4. So does vol_emp_eq_on.csv. It stated 53, 52, 52, 52. So these 1234 values has a direct relationship with HK AUX in PHF_*1234*_play.wbxml :)

Now lets move to "low, mid and highs". Take a look at some pieces of original vol_emp_eq_on.csv below. They has the same pattern:
0;-21;15;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;53;52;52;52;7F;4F;54;55
0;-21;15;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;51;50;50;50;7F;4D;52;53
0;-21;15;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4F;4E;4E;4E;7F;4B;50;51

(4F + 54 + 55) / 3 = 52
(4D + 52 + 53) / 3 = 50
(4B + 50 + 51) / 3 = 4E

Based on this pattern, I make a different portion of low, mid and highs as you can see in the codebox above. They're all has the means value of 52.
The strange thing is, I can't hear any differences when I listens any music based on vol_emp_eq_on.csv in the codebox above. But whenever I adjust the volume, I hear a little crackles that means something has changed, but I can't hear the differences. Yes the volume should remains the same, but at least I expect some differences in bass or treble.

So the question is, what exactly those 3 values do???

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Now let's move on to second columns (-96, -15, -10 in the codebox above). I had a same conclusion that it was the threshold value of DRC limiter. For example, if it's -15, any AUX input frequencies that has more than -15dB will be compressed to -15dB.

But these limiter works before the EQ is applied. So if you set the value to -1, then adjust your EQ to amplify more than 1dB, the clipping (more than 0dB) will occurs and you'll hear distorted sounds.

Relying in these features would reduce the dynamic ranges. So in ideal world (assuming you has very high quality headset and high quality mp3 files without clipping), you can set this value to 0 to get more dynamic ranges as provided in the audio files itself. Amplify your EQ will cause distortion, though. The solution: if you want more bass and has 3-band EQ: Set DRC off, EQ to 0dB, -5dB, -5dB and raise AUX input. It has better dynamic range than 5dB, 0dB, 0dB with DRC set to -6.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Now let's move on to third columns (after DRC value). I thought this value controls max dB value that your EQ would permitted. If you set it to 3, and you increase certain frequencies to 5 bar (5dB), it will still becomes 3dB, no matter how high you adjust your EQ. As far as I know, MegaBass amplify 63Hz frequencies to 14 bar (14dB), so default SonyEricsson values is 15. SE phones without Clear Audio Experience has manual EQ settings to max 8bar (8dB), although you can set it higher using customize_upgrade.xml tricks. If you set this third columns to 0, your EQ will render useless.

Just look at original vol_emp_eq_on.csv below:
0;-21;15;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4D;4C;4C;4C;7F;49;4E;4F
0;-18;15;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4D;4C;4C;4C;7F;49;4E;4F
0;-15;15;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4D;4C;4C;4C;7F;49;4E;4F
0;-12;12;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4D;4C;4C;4C;7F;49;4E;4F
0;-9;9;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4D;4C;4C;4C;7F;49;4E;4F
0;-6;6;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4D;4C;4C;4C;7F;49;4E;4F

Why the third column is never higher than second column? It was done to prevent clipping above 0dB because EQ is applied after DRC. As I said before, if you set it to 0;-2;8; then increase certain frequencies to 5 bar (5dB), the clipping would likely to happen. If your audio files is played around -10dB, clipping / distortion will not occur, though. But that's not likely to happen, since most mp3 out here has audio level around -1dB :p

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

To turn off EQ, just set the third column to 0. Let's take a glance on vol_eq_off.csv. It has a code like this:
0;-6;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;6D;6C;6C;6C;7F;69;6E;6F
0;-6;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;6B;6A;6A;6A;7F;67;6C;6D
0;-6;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;69;68;68;68;7F;65;6A;6B
0;-6;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;66;65;65;65;7F;62;67;68
0;-6;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;63;62;62;62;7F;5F;64;65
0;-6;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;60;5F;5F;5F;7F;5C;61;62
0;-6;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;5D;5C;5C;5C;7F;59;5E;5F
0;-6;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;5B;5A;5A;5A;7F;57;5C;5D
0;-6;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;59;58;58;58;7F;55;5A;5B
0;-6;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;57;56;56;56;7F;53;58;59
0;-6;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;55;54;54;54;7F;51;56;57
0;-6;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;53;52;52;52;7F;4F;54;55
0;-6;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;51;50;50;50;7F;4D;52;53
0;-6;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4F;4E;4E;4E;7F;4B;50;51
0;-6;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4D;4C;4C;4C;7F;49;4E;4F

That's the ideal practice to get high dynamic range. Set DRC as little as possible and just depends on AUX input to adjusting volume. You will not get distorted value since the EQ is turned off (0 value in third columns).

How about the phone speaker? Since phone speaker has hardware-limited dynamic ranges, SonyEricsson thinks that it's better to makes AUX input set to MAX (4A) and adjust the volume by the DRC. So vol_spk_eq_off.csv looks like this:
0;-48;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A
0;-45;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A
0;-42;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A
0;-39;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A
0;-36;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A
0;-33;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A
0;-30;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A
0;-27;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A
0;-24;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A
0;-21;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A
0;-18;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A
0;-15;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A
0;-12;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A
0;-9;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A
0;-6;0;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;1;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A;4A

That's what I get after investigating *.csv files. Thank you very much for your contribution, Luhccas. Really appreciate it :)

I had a plan to makes a new thread covering all usage and glossary of this wbxml and csv files. However, before that would happen, I thought the questions in codebox below needs to getting out from a real deep mystery things :)
What would happened if the value is decreased or increased?

Thanks for your attention, :)

Hi guys!
Luhcass very very good job!!!!
Very nice at W715...
Clear sound!!
Thanks my friend!!
I ve found how to increase sound at wbxml acoustics....
10%-20%...........100%......200%....without quality changes!!
I think you know better..
but if you don't just ask...
