In this guide i'll show you how to add new languages and how to backup the T9. this is proved to work on DB2020 and newer, however it should work on older platforms i havn't tried.

Get a application that gives you access to your phones FS

DB2010 = XS++
DB2020 CID52 = XS++
DB2020 CID53 = Far Manager
A200 = A2 Uploader

Adding languages

First of all download your desired language from either a extracted filesystem or from here. (Remember the language file needs to be from same phone model and firmware version)

Now follow these three steps:

1. Browse to TPA>PRESET>SYSTEM>LANGUAGE

2. Upload your language files

3. Now we need to delete 3 files in that directory (allowed_languages.txt, lng.dat and lng.lst)

Backing up T9

Getting tired of adding new words all the time after a reflash / upgrade with Sony Ericsson Update Service? with this solution it won't be necessary.

Just follow these steps:

1. Browse to TPA>PRESET>SYSTEM>LANGUAGE

2. Download following files (user_cdb.t9 and wdb.t9)

3. Done, Store these files on a safe place
