Hi guys,
I was just trying to install elfs on my phone, it turns out that you have to patch the Elfpack and Library files to your phone(duh  ). So if I patch these files to my phone will I lose everything that is on my phone's memory and my memory card? Even if that's the case, I would like further instructions how to do this with JDFlasher+FarManager(I have a k800i CID53 so it's my only option, right?) I have done some modding, like changing the menus etc., so I'm not a total noob ^-^

Depends on what FW your running. If you have R8BF, you're ok and all you need to to is follow the AnyCID method of patching and download the elfpack starter kit in my sig. ;) If you haven't, then you'll need to update to above FW and backing up your data will be necessary.

Thanks boysie, your starter kit is great!
But in this step>>>3. Disconnect phone from 'Mass storage' SAFELY!!, reinsert battery connect to JDFlasher or SETool
and apply patches in the patches folder. If you have Heapshift already then obviously you don't
need to apply this one.
you say APPLY THE PATCHES, how do I do that?(I'm using JDFlasher)

As you are CID53 you need to follow the AnyCID method. Its in the Research and Development section. :)

And with this Any CID method will I have to flash my phone and lose all data?

The flashing question... I believe I answered that in post 2.

To make rest file you drag your main file (.mbn) onto the exe.

Read the AnyCID tut carefully. ;)

I did it like this: started mkrest.exe, then dragged the mbn file onto the black surface and nothing happened!if I press enter the program closes immediately
I eve tried dragging the mbn file onto the icon of mkrest.exe and still nothing happened.
What should I do? What am I doing wrong?

Ok, I got the K800_R8BF003_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED53.mbn.rest.mbn file somehow:D yey
Moving on with the tutorial now;)

You are using correct Executor for your FW? What FW is on your phone at the moment?

The executor must be specifically for your phones firmware, and you must upload customize_upgrade.xml & executor.b as well as the executor.jar for it to work. ;)
If you can't find it for your phones firmware (the right executor bypass package) flash your firmware to a firmware that it is available for and then use the executor.

Is the main branded? If so this must be unbranded (genric in the file name)

Find a custom pack thats in the right FS region and upload that to TPA/PRESET/CUSTOM

Try not to double/triple post, yeah.. ;)

What happens when you try to run executor? If the phone goes white and restarts you need to take the battery out before it comes back on :p. But, if nothing happens I'm not really sure.
