Hi, not sure if any of you guys are aware, will the X1 Xperia be having Windows Mobile 6.5 (as an upgrade to the original 6.1) in future revisions of it's firmware? I just upgraded to R3A and it's WM 6.1. I just have a funny feeling that SE is going to predictably play dirty and withold 6.5 usage from the X1 and use 6.5 (and whatever incremental tweaks it offers) to launch X2 supposedly end of the year. Does anyone know? Also heard the R3A may be the last official firmware update for X1.

There is no device yet with WM 6.5 afaik. The Touch HD and Touch Diamond 2 will get a free upgrade to WM6.5

If I'm not mistaken, the Xperia X1 is from HTC, right? The guys over at xda-developers.com already came up with a cooked WM 6.5 ROMs for HTC Touch devices. Maybe they have one for the Xperia---that is, if SE decided not to release an update.

se has already released theire last update for x1, R3.
you could flash a coocked 6.5 rom though, but make sure you hardspl first.

hehe i got hacked windows mobile 6.5 ROM for my htc blueangel which is about 7 years old and original ROM was wm2003:) The point of that was YES there is a wm6.5 ROM for teh X1, several infact. Head over to http://forum.xda-dev...splay.php?f=470 and youll see whats up.
