Hi, I am new here and I want to use modified themes on my K790i. I have used many themes with extension .thm but they don't change the main icons I have seen many posts here with lovely themes and cool icon. I want to use them but don't know how.. do I need to flash my phone or debrand it.. plz help.

Flash themes which I think your talking about wont work with your phone. To change the menu icons you'll need to upload a modified menu.ml and icons to tpa/preset/system/menu. No need to flash or debrand, just access to phone with XS or JDFlasher.

Thanks for the prompt reply Boysie99. No, I know flash themes won't work on my set, I just wanted to change the icons..
Can you please guide me how to do it step by step that will help all the newbies like me..


Note: I have downloaded JDFlasher and XS but its little confusing.. I am a little lost here..

Download your menu pack (there are some in the Downloads section). All the files (Menu.ml and icons) go in tpa/preset/system/menu.

Hi, Boysie99, one more thing I would like to ask, do you know how to backup my old default theme. If anything goes wrong I can use the backup..

I'm sure you'll be able to find it on the web. Failing that it'll be in a downloadable custpack or FS. Which theme is it anyway?
