Hi, I'm new here and found this forum through trying to resolve a problem - hopefully someone can help me. I have a K800i that was locked on '3' and it worked faultlessly for a couple of years. I cancelled the contract and got my local 'phone doctor' to inlock it so that I could use my O2 Sim. This was a success - it was simpy unlocked but still had the '3' branding. However a week or so later it crashed - white screen only etc.
I brought it back and they loaded new firmware which unbranded it and it was fine for a few days. At the same time they formatted my memeory stick just in case there was a corrupted file on it. After a few days it has crashed again.
Is it possible that the phone shop has a virus / corrupted file on their laptop?
In any event I want to try and sort this myself. Can anyone point me to how to do this. I am in UK and use an O2 Sim at present but I would prefer it to be totally unbranded.
Is it a waste of time trying to sort this one out or is there a reliable solution?
Thanks in advance.
