Hi There Guys,

I recently heard about the aerix tool which unlocks A2 Phones, so i decided to unlock mine's. The process states that the unlocking was successful. When i tried using another network sim, i recieve the error 'Inactive sim'. Please can some advise me, were i am going wrong and how to solve this problem.

What FW do you have installed?

I'm not sure "3" FW supports other networks, try a Generic FW =)

Your operator might have deactivated your simcard, else you did wrong using aerix

Hi There , Ive used the simcards out of other phones ( which work) and i get the Inactive Sim. The Log is in my previous post in the attachment .

try using seus as i did a k850 with this software the other day and it dint work so i updated it with seus and it work first time so just give it a try and it was still branded to vodafone

Hi Guys ... Ive still not managed to unlock my K850I .. Ive updated the software and then unlocked with aerix ... still no luck ... i dont get is that why does it say successful when it is not unlocked. The same happens, when i insert sim card it says inactive sim . It only seems to work with the orginal network of 3 . Help out guys . Is Ma Phone Screwed or am i doing something wrong

Try a different sim in it: it sound like your sim has been deactivated

To be exact ive tried 5 sim cards on different networks from my friends working phones ... Still THE SAME

Check service menu (>*<<*<*) check sim lock. If thats unlocked Im inclinded to say that the phone might of been reported stolen

I have the same problem. I have unlocked my K850 with aerix and it states unlock sucessfull. When I insert a BT Mobile (vodafone network) sim card it works fine, but when I insert a t-mobile sim it says 'insert sim or view demo'. I have had the phone from new on a 3 network contract and have only unlocked it for my girlfriend to use. I have tried unlocking again and still no sucess.

My firmware is the generic firmware and not the 3 branded one. Which was uploaded using A2 Uploader. Both FS and MAIN have been flashed.

I have also run the phone through SEUS to get the latest updated firmware.

If anyone has got any suggestions/solutions it would be great to hear them.

Maybe you got a cid53 and aerix is unable to do it

A CID53 k850, I don't think so.

Hi managed to sort out why my K850 wouldn't read the t-mobile sime card, it is because t-mobile sims are slightly thinner than some others, I found that by putting a layer of tape on the back of the sim card it enable the phone to read the card correctly. So now everything works and phone is unlocked to all networks.

I don't know if Three in GB is acting as Tre (in Italy) but here you can unlock a "Tre" simlocked phone, but You cant't use it with any other Tre sim, simply because the simlock is made at the network level.

So if you buy a Tre simlocked phone You can unlock it, then You can use it with it's bundled SIM and with any other SIM from any other operator in the world, but not with a different "Tre Italy" SIM.

Have You tried with a vodafone/o2/other provider SIM or You have just put in another "Three" SIM ?
