I got a w960 today and changed it to English from Chinese. But the input for text when you want to txt msg someone, email, etc is still in Chinese. Is there a firmware version I can use to flash my phone to dislpay English letters when im writing a text message/email?
Also, what are the programs I should use? I only flashed a phone one time before, and it was a looong time ago (w850) so i don't remember he programs i used.
Thanks in advance.

You can't flash the W960 for free.
You can download language packs from the SE website...but I doubt it will solve your problem

You can by letting SEUS do it

This won't do anything about the language, it'll be just the same.
You could change the CDA and flash with SEUS if you know a CDA that surely supports chinese letters in mails etc.

Have you checked the writing language under the text message settings? The reason I ask is cos I dont think it is a firmware issue

Actually I find out how to do it. Your right it isn't a firmware issue, it was some setting hidden away in the darkness of the w960. I was checking the settings and options of the phone but there was nothing there that would change the input to english. So in frustration i started typing random chinease letters and i saw a small keyboard icon on the top of the screen near the battery icon. Clicked on that and it was s touch screen keyboard being displayed with chinease characters. I saw a tap that displayed "abc" in English and i went there. It turns out that was the option to change the input to English. I am just amazed on why this wasn't in the options/settings/prefences of the phone to begin with. I came across this on screen keyboard that was able to switch everything to english by straight dumb luck. I was extremely lucky...I almost returned the phone.
Thanks for the help! This forum is soo helpful!
