i think that not only me but maybe some other people have faced problem with c510 (most probably other new A2 phones as well) calendar when you set appointment as the date set and normal day doesn't differ a lot which makes it hard to distinguish between the two... so i thought of inviting here people interested in modifying cale_ui_layout.xml where all the info about the calendar's layout is set.

this is how it looks now

as you see 21st of May has appointment but on the phone the difference is barely seen between the two days of set and not set appointment i know that defference between fonts can be improved but maybe it's possible to use some other colours for different days (let's say green for days with appointment)

i'm inviting enyone who is interrested in this to make some changes in the calendar to make it look better

any help is appreciated

hmm...unfortunately i see no changes in the calendar maybe you could have a look once again and try to change something else to make it work? it would be great to make days with appointment differ more from all other days.

Or what i could do, i could change the thing such that the day with appointment date becomes bigger, and the normal days smaller?

maybe i wish it was possible to mark them with different colour but probably impossible... however, when you set holidays then the date becomes light red so i was hoping that somewhere in the layout the colour might be changed...but probably the different size of the fonts is the only way...

if you mod the DayNumberFont to, say, 16 you get a "marked" change
in size so days with appointments etc stand out :-]

yeah it works!! but maybe it's just me but the rest of the dates seem to be maybe a bit too small...is it possible to increase them by one size so that they wouldn't be so small? but now you can really see that day with the appointment

and i'm still confused what controls the appointments when you set them as holidays...which part of firware tells them to become light red and not let's say green..

thanx this time it looks good will wait for your new discoveries

so for now just have to wait for DB3210 permanent patching (it's it's gonna be done one day) of SYSGFX patch to make more modifications to calendar maybe then we'll be able to change colours

EDIT - @ Corman, Try uploading on your W595, it might work because C510 and W595 uses the same calender o.o

thanx for devilwasabi the calendar on my c510 looks like this now i think this layout would probably work on most new A2 phones (probably on all DB3150 and DB3210 platforms if they have the same calendar layout)
