Wifi Not Working On W705 Rate Topic: -----

hi guys..

i got a w705.. i am trying to connect to the WiFi(ad-hoc) connection hosted from my HP laptop..am using a WAP2 key for the connection.. but even if i enter the key in phone while connectiong, am getting a message like unable to connect.. i tried by configuring a connection without password.. then its connecting.. but still am unable to browse the internet which i shared from my lap.. is there any config mistakes am doing..kinldy help..

are you using WEP or WPA? have you tried just rebooting your phone?

Check your IP address and stuff. Also try using just WEP when you're using your phone to surf the web.

At my school, sometimes I have to set a Static IP instead of a DHCP IP. If your IP address is 169.254.X.X, that means you're not connected to the rotuer properly.

Check u r WIFI settings.I hope u r missing something.

You have to find a WiFi spot somewhere .You can try do do it with your cell phone (if it supports wifi).Theres an applicaton called "joiku spot" or something like that (for symbian).

that means your router's DHCP server is not working correctly since it's not assigning you a proper IP address. check your router settings.
