Hi

i have had a idea where if we stripped the 8gb memory expansion out of the w960i and attached it to the p1i as it goes in exactly the same place and i thought this might work but i am not sure as the hardware and software may nott match but it might be worth a try if anyone has both phones to test

Yes but you will still lose the keyboard and you can still gain the keyboard and the M2 if you Combine the 2 firmware which is possible but we don't got a way to flash it exept Cruiser box

Not unless the actual hardware is soldered on.

no because if you take a look at the dissasembly instructions it will show u that the connection for the w960i 8gb module and sim card is the same on p1i just for sim card and the two pieces of pcb are the same size aswell

It will be nice to have 8GB onboard memory on P1 but on this picture I see a chip
(on the W960) instead of a M2 card slot (on the P1).
Am I right?
If yes, where we shall put this chip?

PS: If some manifacturer create 32GB M2 card I'll prefer the card, not the 8GB chip.

Chip doesnt work, tried out yesterday but the SIm card slot still works. Maybe if we flash P1i@W960i then chip will work. We then only have to sort out the QWERTY.

I also tried , chips switching from a W960 with a P1i , both phones still worked, but couldnt read/discover the new chips.

only differences on P1i hardware /w960 are, 2 buttons on the right side of the w960 arent on the P1i, P1i has IR,w960 doesnt  , the M2 memory card reader in the P1i is another 8GB chip in the W960, and the keyboard.
Also the screen of the W960 supports the skip forward/ button and pause, the P1i doesnt.

Generall my idea is to replace my W960 hardware with my 16GB P1i hardware, after i flashed my P1i to a W960, but I still didnt succeed to flash the phone :(   Perhaps my last option is to buy the Setool box....

btw, All connectors from P1i and W960 are the same, motherboard = equal !

If anyone can mail me how to flash my P1i to W960 without SeTool box plz contact me. I tried XS++  , couldnt manage  ..  even made back-ups from both phones, and reloaded them in the other , phones didnt boot (IMEI problem i think) but according to PCSUITE that 1 worked, it saw the P1i as a W960, but it didnt boot up :(

I only want to flash the P1i to W960, then im gonna place it in the W960 housing, using the W960 keyboard and W960 screen  , and HOPEFULLY the M2 still will work  ,only reason is, i want 16 GB inside my w960 , and i dont like the keyboard of the P1i !

all suggestions are very welcome

thnxs in advance
