The first thing you have to do is to get some sort of 3,5mm jack. i've used one from a small portable radio but u can use most types.

Second thing is to remove the housing around the microphone.
the easiest way is to use a knife.
Now u have something like this
Attached File  modd_003.jpg (248.58K)
Number of downloads: 836

Now take a knife and make a cut trough here.
be careful so u dont cut the wires.
then take out the small cord trough the hole.
Attached File  modd1.JPG (45.26K)
Number of downloads: 648

after u have done that, u will have something like this.
Attached File  jongleringsboll_005.jpg (272.59K)
Number of downloads: 572

then cut the cord right below the earpiece.
and make the longer cord evenly long with the shorter one.
Attached File  modd2_002.jpg (219.13K)
Number of downloads: 512

Now u can put together the mic housing, with a bit of pickin u can get the cord to go in between the parts.

then u need to carefully take out the green and blue wires from the rubber cover.
and then separate the green and the blue one.
Attached File  sladd_003.jpg (221.82K)
Number of downloads: 333

after that u solder the wires to the 3,5 mm plug.
Attached File  jongleringsboll_010.jpg (62.98K)
Number of downloads: 597
make sure that it is green/blue, blue/green

After that seal it up with tape or something else.
Enjoy! Hope it works out for u guys! :p

If u have any comments or tips about this please say.! ^-^

When I did mine I just used a male-to-female (extension) 3.5mm jack cable, so it was lighter than the way you've done it. I think you might find that it's too heavy and your headphones fall out your ears as you're walking.

Something like this:

I might order one of those adapters off of ebay, I was guna make my own but for the cost of it + the fact that in making my own I wouold have to destroy my perfectly good headset...
k750i, w800i f/w, 1GB memory stick, custom menu icons, camera driver Zuza v3, Qwertys acoustics, Qwertys Display driver

I used to have a description of my case in here but I change it so often that i thought I would put a link to my case mod thread instead

I am making one now, I bought a broken pair of headphones from a mate for £2 so I can get the connector off of that and I bought a 3.55 socket from maplins (A electronics components shop) for £1.

Good luck mate.! :)
Try using such a light 3,5mm connector as possible, so the earphones dont fall out of your ears 24-7. :p

I have this. Very easy to find here, most shop sell this one and for old type of connector. Also for Nokia, Motorola, Samsung and etc.

I have another one similar to this, but not for audio. It use to convert Nokia charger to SE fastport charger. Just make sure Nokia charger output is 3.7V.
Used Now: W595, K660i, Z710i @ W710i, W800i - need to get more now....

Still the same. When I open the connector, I saw the the cable using the same as branded cable.
Even if using different cable, I don't see there downgraded sound quality because the cable too short.

@iamsinned06
you can use that, but you need to change some pins
cause the ones that are already used for data transfer, are not the same as "audio-transfer" ones
