...Will work with RED phones only up to CID36...

Special notes for PC:
---------------------
You need to either install cygwin (www.cygwin.com) or download "cygwin1.dll" from somewhere.
Sorry, but the no-cygwin-build does not work properly. Darn...
Get the DLL from the following post (from mikhan, see below).

How to do flash K750 to W800 with minimum changes (firmware and language files):
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't panic! No values are written to your phones memory unless you start SEUS update procedure (step 18).
Get info about "SEUS" here: http://forums.se-nse...?showtopic=3406

0) charge battery (20% is not enough)
1) remove battery
2) remove SIM card
3) insert battery
4) PC: Double-click "W800_new.exe"
4) MAC: execute "W800"
5) hold the "C" *on the phone* and connect phone to PC using DCU60 (service cable that came with phone)
6) release the "C" button on the phone

7) you see either lots of errors -> your phone is new and not CID36. There is no support for CID49 phones at the moment.
7) you see a configuration menu
8) default IMEI is for W800

8) you can change the IMEI to match a K750 if you want to flash K750 firmware
8) in that case you can change IMEI with "I......"<enter>. you will need a K750-CDA number!
9) default CDA is for EUROPE2
9) look up the correct W800-CDA number for your region/language/operator (see links below)
9) change the CDA number by entering "CDA....."<enter>
10) if configuration looks okay, hit "Q"<enter>
11) unplug the phone, quit W800.exe
12) dont touch the phone, leave battery inserted
13) start SEUS
14) SEUS -> start -> accept EULA -> select left port
15) do not remove battery
16) connect phone to PC
17) SEUS will detect W800 and region
18) if detection is okay (W800 + region), click "update", point of no return

18) if detection is not okay, hit "cancel" , quit SEUS, remove battery, wait, reinsert battery, repeat procedure
19) after flashing, unplug phone, remove battery, wait, reinsert battery
20) start phone
21) you should see flightmode/phonemode menu now

Get your CDA strings for correct language files from:
http://www.se-world....cda-strings.php
More complete list: (thx to Rulv for link)
http://www.topsony.c...p?page=CDA_w800

What this procedure does not do:
-----------------------------------------
- change the IMEI
- change hardware identification to W800
- upload W800 themes/sounds/games

So it is always possible to revert to K750 via SEUS:
simply do not use W800.exe. Just connect to SEUS and old configuration will be restored.

Edit: works with long CDA numbers now.
Edit: you can edit the CID number now. Note that prepping works only with phones up to CID36.
Edit: rewrote instructions. failsafe now?
Edit: released source code for payload for you. It is written in C.
Edit: released source code for elfloader. It is written in C.
Edit: new release. all in one .zip. Updated the Makefile for payload.elf and the elfloader.c.
Edit: new elfloader can handle raw bin files: 'BINN'<load addr><size><exec addr>
Edit: updated W800_new.exe will work without cygwin1.dll
Edit: updated the link to TopSony's CDA-list

tested with red only. emulation is for red, also.

BTW: Anyone posesses a brown phone anyway? I mean, they are not for sale, are they? Just in case, recover it to red with the same cracked software you messed it up with ;)

Not giving any tips here, SE must find out themselves. Just that: its a very rough hack... kinda minimalistic ;)

is this fixed yet?

seus steps
choose language
agreements
start
plug instruction with "c" key
and finally it shows that my phone is k750i

am I using the right seus software?

when w800i.exe ask me to unplug, after that it shows 'disconnected, close me'
should i close it?

start seus after closing 800i.exe?

p.s. it looks like no problem for the w800i.exe process
but seus detect mine as 'k750i' after plugging in the cable

also i have no idea what is red and brown and where can find out what mine is

thanks and sorry for broken sentences!

A) Do you get the configuration menu in W800.exe?
B) You must close W800i.exe when it suggest you to do it.
C) Important thing for SEUS is that you dont turn off the phone, but just disconnect/connect USB cable.
D) Which SEUS do you use? It is tested with 2.6.6.12.
Start "Update Service" program. Then in the main window, choose "Help" menu -> "Info".
A little window should tell you what SEUS you use.

:good: Thanks Hendrix, is working now.
Also http://www.topsony.c..._cda_w800i.html have a more complete CDA list.

@chling the full procedure is:
1 - Turn off your phone
2 - Remove Battery
3 - Remove SIM card
4 - Put battery (DON'T turn your phone on)
5 - Open w800.exe
6 - Press and hold C
7 - Plug DCU-60 cable
8- Type a new CDA and press Enter
9 - Press Q to confirm
10 - Remove DCU-60 conector
11 - Close
12 - Don't remove battery now and don't turn your phone on
13 - Open SEUS and follow instructions

You can find your CID number here:
Somewhere during W800.exe you will see this line:
Get IMEI etc (24)
Binary answer is: 0x1e (891e13000001240001.....b5)$.......
The "24" is the CID number ( 0x24 = 36 decimal ).

@The_Laser:
One of the other numbers is your phone color, but dont know which one... not!
