Hi,
Here Goes. I have a W550 with me. I tried to patch up the main with a few vkp patches using Gsplit (The vkp patches were for the main I used, not any other version). As the header was too small, I downloaded a new header of 367 flashblocks from here itself. I flashed the new main using SeTool lite. After the flash, the phone isn't getting detected by FAR Manager, SeTool Lite, XS++ as well as SEUS. Moreover, I cannot boot the phone too. Is there anything I can do to bring my cell back to life. I have a copy of my GDFS which I made from XS++. Help would be much appreciated.

P.S: I just noticed that I posted in the wrong subtopic. Please excuse me :)

Try connecting on a different USB port, if that doesn't help try connecting with 2+5 pressed instead of 'C'

Yes, If you mean SeTool2Lite v1.11, then no luck. I have tried two different batteries, both fully charged. I get no red light when I try to switch the cell on, so the EROM must be fine, right?

It should be, yes :). Have you tried removing and re-inserting your battery?

Yes. This is not the first time I'm doing it. I had a fully modded phone before this happened. :(

P.S: I loved your Walkman Twist, I was using it on my W550...

Nope, no response from the phone? Would giving it to a Service Centre be of any help?

give it to a service center...they may help you...they have other methods of booting the phone up...but you must face it..there are small chances that you might have killed your phone....if the computer can not see the phone...the ir led does not blink and you say it's battery is charged you might have killed it beyond repair....see what the guys from the service tell you...and be really sure the battery is charged...try charging it with another compatible phone...

Yes. I'm sure about the battery. I tried to use another charged one from a J230. Thanks for the help. Will post what the service centre guys say soon....

--Edit--

Probably too late to post, the service centre guys couldn't do anything. The problem was caused because the w550 was flashed with a firmware which was patched with gsplit, and gsplit is only for db2020 and not db2010...
