Hello everyone,

As you may know the new sms chat feature is available on the latest R1DA032 C905 firmware.
Since SE doesn't create specific main firmware for each model, i'm pretty sure this functionality is implemented on all R1DAxxx firmwares of the DB3210 platform, meaning the G705, W705, W715, C510.
But the sms chat is disabled (hidden) on these models except the C905.
I think we can find the correct entries on the C905 menu.ml and add it to the menu.ml of the other phones

Please, could someone post his menu.ml from the C905_R1DA032_FS ? (not the previous ones) so i can try to implement it to other DB3210 phones.
The file is located in /tpa/preset/system/menu/

In my vodafone FW, for W910, i had this feature. So maybe is something from the customization, or FS. Not menu.ml

It is definatly menu.ml as mine is edited. I tried my edited menu.ml from C902 and lost it so i had to re-edit the C905 menu.

Me neither but it is definatly in there

I no the inbox and convo are as tabs inside the messaging.

Really ?? Didn't knew . I meant another part of the FS. And i thought you wanna make it to look something like this

When i was writing SMS it looked just like the MMS screen that i have right now, on the original FW.

These are screens for the conversations its in tabs which changes the icon in the messages screen, according to what you were last viewing.

Ok i've found how to enable SMS chat feature ... ! :-)

create a customize_upgrade.xml and inside past the code below:
you have to change the info according to your model, copy the section from your already existing customize.xml

will this work with DB3150? or just DB3210?

Tried sucessfuly on my G705.
No it doesn't work on DB3150 (not implemented in firwmare R3Exxxx)

coz my c905 is the latest firmware and doesnt have this feature, but i really want it

Try changing the
<is-preferred>false</is-preferred> and set it to true in the code i gave you

It will never be in DB3150 as this platform is now old.

That's because W705 is not DB3150, it's D3210 . I do hope, but not expect it still to be implemented in FW updates.
