Ok,
hi all... this site is the best site I've ever surfed... may be my phone is completely tied up but you at least will tell me why...
I took my w880i to the service center because the display was broken, it was black but I could make and receive calls.
I took it back with the working lcd but locked as it says "insert correct sim"
it's a cid 53 red and I bought it in july 2007.

I tried several procedure to unlock my w880i since I took it back frrom the SE service center one month ago.

I tried with universal sim, with the "executor" procedure and I took it to a guy who had the setool dongle... but nothing happend.

this is the firmware I flashed.
if you like LITE edition - please visit www.setool.net and buy FULL.

OK,

I have another w880i cid 52....

what about making a GDFS backup of the w880i cid 52 and restoring that backup on the other CID53 w880i?

What can happen?

thanks...

That will result in a dead phone as GDFS are unique to the phone

I called them and they said that have done that because of "PCB not reliable"

I have to do that on my own...

Then ask them how are you supposed to use the phone if its locked to every network? Personally I would go back there and not leave until its unlocked to your network at least
