Hello all- Thanks to everyone here my W910i home screen is beautifully naked !!!!
The only thing left on my home screen are the letters above each soft key, "Media" on the right, "Menu" in the middle and "Contacts" on the right.
Is it possible to remove these from the home screen, I obviously do not want to disable the functions themselves but just get rid of the lettering.
I have been using S.E.L.E. but no option for that, does anyone know what would have to be changed in the layout .xml ??
Cheers to everyone here for the help !!!!

Make RIGHT_SOFTKEY_HOOK with icon image and make the whole image transparent. (the same for left and center softkey)
Do you know what I mean? :unsure:
If not, I can make it for you

Cheers for your help guys !!!
Upon further research I found out they are located in the menu .ml and have checked mine but there is alot of stuff in there and dont want to mess anything up that I may not be able to fix.
Dekxster- yes mate if you could make anything that would be great, any icons that are small and all the same if possible. Anything that would be unnoticeable !!!!
Cheers for that !!!!!

I`ll take a look at it tomorrow. Maybe I set wrong ID in the xml. You can rename it to *.tar and check the xml file (IDs are in menu.ml).

Or you can:
1) Try to upload first itm file (with customize_upgrade.xml), then the second and then the third (ever with cust_upg.xml).

2) Try to upload the files and then delete cust_menu_data.dat and cust_menu_done_unpacking.dat ze slozky TPA\PRESET\SYSTEM\CUSTMENU

Hmmm.. I tried all combinations and no luck. In fact every time I tried the softkey letters were still there !!

Try my files...

optimized for

left : contact
center : MainMenu
right : messaging

upload it one by one...

left pack first..
disconnect..
connect again..

up to you to upload which first,but remember one by one pack

:byebye: :byebye:

or actually..you just need .xml script

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<MenuItem version="1.0">
  <item_text>
   <TEXT lang="en" str="    " />
   <TEXT default_lang="en" str="    " />
  </item_text>
  <item_help>
  </item_help>
  <item_icon>
  </item_icon>
  <item_action>
    <ACTION type="Internal" str="Phonebook" />
  </item_action>
</MenuItem>
