K800i Problems using JDFlasher to upload config files - bad 89data
#1

I have a K800i with CID53 which means I have been using JDFlasher
I found suitable FBN and MBN files and have loaded them onto the phone successfully.
I have also got hold of the 2 .xml config files to upload next. Unfortunately when I try to do it I come across the following:
error
GetFindData(getdir(bad 89data))
The ofs starts OK, and the server seems to start OK
It is also OK when I then open tpa
The error appears when i try to open 'preset'
It then bumps me out of the flasher back to the main screen. SO CLOSE!!!
Any advice would be very very much appreciated as Im pulling my hair out now!!!
thanks

what is your firmware and fs version.
it looks like your fs is corrupted or something
chk your fs and main with babeck.
then try to flash it again.
its really strange kinda problem!
Edit: If it does that again try to download main and fs from another source
or try another versions.

K800_R8BF003_FS_EUROPE_1_RED53.fbn
and
K800_R8BF003_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED53.mbn
which came from as listing on here:
http://forums.se-nse...showtopic=28828
im also using the config files from the bottom of that post.
I actually checked both files with babeck before i flashed the first time and they were fine.
I have flashed it twice now with the same problem.
I guess i should try another version next, does it have to be a different .mbn and .fbn?
My phone was originally a lower CID but it was increased to CID53 about a year ago when I used Wotan to flash the phone from a K800 to a K810. It has been working fine since then but now is no more so im trying the original K800 firmware this time.
thanks for your suggestions, its really appreciated

Did you update the jdflasher to use with CID53?
if you didn't then download the attachment and extract and copy it to the jdflasher folder.
if above doesn't solve it then try this
open tpa and try to delete preset folder, dont be afraid of the contents that it holds.
now create the folder again.
you can letter upload the files from a extracted fs of this version.
now upload the custpack.
PS: you didn't post it so im guessing you didn't apply the quick_access_patch, pls confirm this.

No i didnt update jdflasher. I just got the latest version (called Jdflasher_AnyCID_Far) and thought that would be ok.
I have just tried to add the update that you attached and it seems to have a different problem now. Should I need this update? Also when I un-rar-ed the attached file it returned a few errors. Is this ok?
Next I am going to try a different set of flash files and see if that helps and then try the folder re-creation that you suggested. Will have to be tomorrow tho.
No I havent done anything with a quick_access_patch.
Thanks for all your help
I will let you know what happens next.

the errors when u tried to extract the files may be caused by old WinRAR application.
Mine is WinRAR 3.7
Use the attached qa2020.xml copy it to Far_root_directory\Plugins\jdflasher\scripts\
Now Follow this steps and REMEMBER to use CID53 MAIN and FS:
1. Connect your phone using JDFlasher db2020 script
2. Copy your MAIN to FAR_root_directory\plugin\jdflasher\db2020_52\
3. Then drag your main on the qamaker.exe to generate a quick_access_patch
4. Flash your MAIN to phone
5. Apply the quick_access_patch
6. Flash the FS
7. Disconnect as FAR tell you to
8. Reconnect to FAR using JDFlasher qa2020 script
9. Open bfs NOT bflash
10. Copy your custpack.
11. Disconnect as FAR tell you to
Now above should solve your problem and enable your phone to future patching.

I now have a newer RAR program and dont get any errors. thanks.
Firstly, using the version of JDFlasher that I have, do i need to add the CID patch that you attached because it seems to already part of JDflasher?
I added the qa2020.xml you sent.
step 1 went ok!
Step 2...i technically dont have a folder called db2020_52, it is just called 2020_52 but i used that and making the quick access patch seemed to work ok.
My JDFlasher only gives me the option to use oflash and ofs . Dont i need another one?
Anyway, i tried it with oflash...
3. Went ok
4.went ok
5.the option to apply this was not there (greyed out)
6. I then got an error when i tried to flash the FS:
error (putfile_flash(flashbabe(header(send90data(IOUsb:sendblack(IOusb::dcu_WriteData(
time exceed))))))
Thats as far as i got. I tried this using the JDFlasher with and without the jdflasher_test6 patch added and also tried darthvader's but always came across the same error message at some point (it appeared when i tried to flash the main on a couple of occasions).
Do you think i might have damaged hardware? The phone was working fine but intermittently before i started all this. It would be ok then turn off/white screen/restart or lock up.
Thanks again again for your help

I did have that problem once, then i tried to disconnect and reconnect and flashed it again and it went smoothly.
Here is a full tutorial:
Connect your phone using db2020 script
goto oflash
Drag your main
Flash your Main
Drag your FS and Flash it like Main
Now disconnect the phone
Reconnect using db2020 script and goto ofs
Copy your custpack
Now disconnect the phone and turn on.
Continue here if you want to use the quick_access_patch or want to patch your phone, its cool
----------------CID3 patch------------
All the credit goes to den_po
download the attachment and extract it to a folder.
Turn off ur phone and connect it using db2020 script and goto ofs
and copy this three files
Disconnect the phone and goto Game and open executor
and your phone should be turned off. DONT TURN IT ON
now connect the phone using qa2020 script
goto bflash
Again Flash your Main and Flash your FS
apply the quick_access_patch
disconnect ur phone and turn ON.
and Now remember connect ur phone with qa2020 script from now on.
I told you to Flash your Main and FS again bcoz i heard some people when flash the rest the phone won't turn on.
----------------CID3 patch------------
okay mate, if u do it right then ur phone will be OK.
post if you have any problem.
EDIT: use the jdflasher with test6 addon and copy the qa2020.xml to the script folder.
anc i don't think its a hardware problem, if it was then you wasn't able to flash the main although it's my thought only!
Cheers!

I've still not managed to fix it, darth... I tried using you version exactly as it is and tried flashing with K800 and also K810 to see if that made any difference. I got the error had before (error (putfile_flash(flashbabe(header(send90data(IOUsb:sendblack(IOusb::dcu_WriteData(
time exceed))))))
but this time it happened during the main flash. In fact on one occasion, it happened as it was opening oflash!
symj...I followed your instructions to the letter but actually that's what I had been doing all along. It still didn't work.
I'm beginning to wonder if there is a problem with the PC I am using or just the phone itself. Faulty battery and so unreliable power supply causing a a random power fluctuation?? That might also be the cause of the problems i was having in the first place?
Sooo annoying, I'm fed up with using my Nokia retro-phone!!!
cheers guys

please post a pic and take the pic when the error occur.
And do not busy the PC when flashing the phone.
check ur cable and phones fast-port for any dust and clear it.
Do not move the phone when flashing in progress.
Before starting the FAR disconnect any USB device (Mass storage, Pen Drive, Printer, Scanner, Bluetooth device etc.)
Did you have experience before this flashing?
Did you install the SEMC flash driver correctly?
I know nokia sucks!
But give this SE more time it won't disappoint you
as i know for using my K800i

I will keep you posted on what happens next...im not giving up just yet!
Thanks for all your help

Now its time to move back onto my phone and it sorted out once and for all.
Before i do anything, i wanted to post on here and get you guys to check:
First of all, the flash drivers for the phone. I have some but is it possible that some versions are better than others and if so can anyone suggest the perfect file for a K800i that thinks its a k810i CID53 due to previous flashes?
Secondly, I now have a few versions of JDFlasher (from this thread). Each time I sun the .exe, it doesnt actually seem to install anything, it just runs from that folder. IS that right? I only ask because there is an uninstaller included which seems to be unnecessary.
I also only ever tried to use the SE update once and it didnt seem to be very friendly (in terms of installing irritating components or services) You think i should give it a go tho?
thanks for all the help.

JDflasher doesn't need anything to install to run properly.
the uninstaller is included because it was distributed from program_files directory. nothing to worry abt anyway.
SEUS is a bit less user friendly then the other flashing programs.
but in term of complete package it includes the all the usb, semc flash drivers and on first run it downloads the latest drivers from the internet including the main and fs files automatically.
It can help you fixing the problem because it also updates the EPROM version to the latest one.
Give it a try, see if it fixes the problem.
btw select the original manufactured model of ur phone.
and let it do its job and if it fixes it then u can have a go with jdflasher to flash it again using ur choice of main & fs.
